  1. Got them from ah beng, think the stock come from coral farm as it comes with CF container. dint buy them as a pair. Think was less then 1 red notes/pcs when i bought. Mines are quite small, brought them when there was around 1.5" or so.
  2. Thanks bro. Will see what i can do after exam next week Any way batch 6 collected.
  3. alright as expected. Batch 3 all died off. Batch 4 dint hatch well. only left with one larvae Batch 5 just collect. i guess i can only spend more time doing this after my exam... haizzz
  4. 118hrs -massive dying off spotted . Think by tmr no larval liao ...
  5. pictures taken 97hrs after spawning . updates at 113hrs after spawning. -dying off started.
  6. Hatch rate is around 98% Survival rate of larvae= unknown seems like all still doing well. Think up to this stage is still easy to care for as no feeding is necessary. Its the next 24hrs that crucial when feeding starts to kick in. coz i dun have the right feed to do it. checked with Junkai yesterday if wanna get the right strain of copepod to raise them have to import them from US and its will take more then a week and think its around 100plus. Also they do not have the smaller strain of rotifer right now. haha talking abt larvae tank. There's no TANK involved lei. This is the setup. A used chye xin bottle.......
  7. dunno if size matter , my pair is around 2" and 1.5" in length. Haha wish u luck
  8. its kinda getting harder to picture the larvae with my phone now as they starting to move faster. Thus a video it shall be, 39hrs after spawning
  9. haha i guess we are reading the samething. might pop by ah beng or irwana tmr. These guys came at such wrong timing man, got a paper on monday to study for
  10. Batch 1 and 2 was a total failure i guess. dun see anything. Batch 3 developing well i guess.
  11. haha some time u need some luck , wah u thinking so far ahead liao ah. let see if they hatch first.
  12. 3rd batch. Apparently they spawn around the same timing again .
  13. i place the eggs in a breeder box with sponges on both side of the opening in the main tank. hmm seriously i have no idea how they are suppose to look like without a microscope like those in the links. the eggs are already so small, dunno even if they hatch i can see anot. Placing tonight batch in a jar instead.
  14. Thanks will try to contact david. The last i check online they actually had 2 different and they website was last updated a few years back thus i thought they closed haha
  15. yeah all the pumps and waver maker were off when the spawned. Scooped out the eggs a few mins after they spawned. Attached is a pic of the egg. i think this is last nights batch. I doubt they can make it. haven seen anything from the first batch ...
  16. ok so they did it again tonite and was caught on camera. seems like they spawned almost the same timing as yesterday.
  17. Thanks Bro, Actually i have no idea if they are feeding on pods. dun really see any on the glass. But one thing for sure they definitely feed on frozen mysis and brine shrimp. They are slow eater but they always gets to eat. Never trained them and they dun need my special attention as well just gotta make sure they are in the tank everyday haha.
  18. Forgotten to feed my fishes today, thus fed them before light out and notice something abt this pair of Mandarin dragonet. They kept swimming around seems to be looking for a spot. After following them for 30mins they spawned.....now what ? Anyone tried Breeding Mandarin before ? (dun mind the blurred photos as the light were kinda dim as it was near to lights off timing) Swimming around swimming around again, loot at the fat belly Cuddling up Showing her fat Belly again MOONDANCING !!! Eggs .....
  19. Have kept a baby blue tang since he was a 50 cent coin size till now for abt 1.5 years its more than 4inch in length now. they grow fast and and till now i haven seen it eating any algae. turbo snail and seahare can help but yr tank is only 30cm.... thus like what mikintosh mentioned u might want to look at yr photohours and water parameters.
  20. Just happen to caught mine moondancing . Top is the male with elongated thingy. Bottom is the female without it
