From your description, I would guess your tank is an IOS (Internal Overflow Sump) tank. Have a look at the pvc panel, if I guess right, you will find some "slots/holes" at mid-low level of the tank, somewhere on the panel. If so, this would explain why your sump water level is same as tank water level.

Would a 1/10HP chiller be an overkill for a 20G nano tank? Any significant advantage or disadvantage in using this size chiller for a small size tank?

Ya, its for a 2ft IOS tank, thus going for the smallest size. UAS 300? Ok, I check it out in TB. Thanks for the recommendation!

If it is only 1pc of aiptasia and in a frag tank, wouldn't it be easy to remove the LR from tank and maybe chip-off the area?

Does anyone have experience using the Santa Monica UAS? I'm considering the DROP .6x, but not sure if it really works like it's advertised.
