  1. Ah ok, that's good. Can post a picture?
  2. Hi guys. No, I was using fauna marin ultra phos which is aluminum based, and that reactor has been unplugged for about three weeks before this. If you do a Google search, some guys on reef central had the same problem, part was replaced by the dealers. As far I can tell, the screws are titanium but the nuts are not. Apparently they had issues with low grade stainless steel. It's not loose precipitate either, this brown stain can't be scrubbed out. One example here. For this recipe don't know, waveline and jebao are from the same oem. http://www.ultimatereef.net/forums/showthread.php?t=683343 And here :http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2356006
  3. No worries, I don't really mind about the pump a huge amount because the DC is relatively affordable, but don't wish for other reefers to lose livestock due to rust/metal poisoning!
  4. Hi all, Just want to share my experience with other reefers out there. Got a Jebao DC 12000 controllable pump as my main return pump in April this year, started using it in late July/early August. As you can see from the picture, rust is forming on thr casing that covers the impeller, likely from the nuts. The screws holding them in place are titanium, but apparently the nuts are not. As the pump is out of warranty (six months) and spare parts aren't sold here, far as I know, it's a pity because the DC 12000 was a great pump - quiet, powerful and controllable - but rusting after a few weeks is quite a big disappointment. Reefers overseas have had similar issues too, if you do a search. So if anyone else out there is using the pump, look out for brown stains where the impeller cover connects to the main body of the pump (where the black and blue bits join), take a moment to check the inside for rust.
  5. btw how did you get the Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper to work? Heard it only comes in 110V version
