  1. Good to hear that finally you got it to 0. What bro W1976 mentioned is correct. Replace it with Madpetz carbon and resin is the way to go. And no need to slow drip. Turn the tap all the way! If only I read this thread sooner, I will advice the same. Sorry to hear all the troubles you gobe through.
  2. Really admire your skill bro. Envy it! All the best and definitely will be camping here.
  3. A year had passed since I am into this hobby. I would like to share 2 short videos of me feeding my livestock in my current 2mths old FOWLR 4'x2'x18". Definitely someone would say, "your tank too small.....". Yes I do agree it is small. It stresses the fishes. It is a torture and all that. For all its worth, they seems happy and healthy. Water parameters are doing well. Reason I switched to FOWLR is because I love to interact with various kinds of fish.
  4. No disrespect to the seniors who have been in this hobby for many years. But I do agree that all of us in this hobby are guilty one way or the other. How big a tank is considered big enough for the corals & fishes alike? Some say 5ft, some 6ft, some 8ft. And some did as small as a jar! For corals, there are mentions that as long as it grows without fading their natural colours they are considered healthy. For fishes, there are mentions stating that once they are stressed, they show signs of sickness. Other than that they will be fine. 1 thing that I learn in this hobby is that it is no different than having any other animals as pets. As long as one is RESPONSIBLE in keeping their pets healthy with all his might & effort, continue doing what he is doing. Be it a mixed reef, full SPS, FOWLR, I believe all of us in this hobby REALLY ensure that the livestock are taken care of & MAKING SURE with all their might making them happy. In fact, there are also mentions that said each individual livestock had their own character. Doesn't mean one reefer's humongous tang in a rather small tank is healthy & stress free, it can happen to another reefer. Enough said. Kudos to all the reefers whom have the luxury in having a big tank to provide ample space for their livestocks. And kudos to all whom managed to have healthy & happy livestocks in a tank size where many have doubts in. Happy reefing bros and sis.
  5. Hey there Got a 4" black sea cucumber to trade with clean up crews.... Collection at Woodlands on weekdays evening. Sms me at eight-126-five-362.
  6. Thanks for the tip. It does work actually! But finally the blue tang was successfully caught during decom and pass to a very close living nearby reefer. Now a newer blue in a newer tank. Much smaller though. Anyone got a flame angel to let?
  7. Yes correct. But you wont get the desired skimmate.
  8. I bought it from a fellow reefer for $100. If not mistaken he bought it from DE Lightings for $180 last year. Model is magus curve 5. In my opion reliable for tanks having 75 gallons. Probably up to not more than 100 gallons. Now it is running in my current setup of abt 120 gallons and found that it is not producing good skimmate. Maybe other seniors here can help to answer a better review of the skimmer.
  9. Thanks. But this tank had "grown" and "transformed" into a bit bigger one.
  10. Hmmm.... you ever consider of giving it back?
  11. Still available and waiting for adoption. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 4
  12. If you ever consider to "make space", you know my number....

  16. I have a few of this snail like in my refugium. White in colour and gives out white liquid when touched. The picture is the biggest of all, abt 1/4 of an inch. Is it ok to leave it? Thanks.
  17. Wow!! Very nice tank you have! And I'm glad that it survived and turned to a really beautiful reef. I admit I don't have the courage like you. Kudos!!
  18. Great instruction. How is it going so far? I have the same chiller and thinking of doing the same. Can confirm that the model is right? 1004 or 2001?
  19. I think the cheapest you can use is the aquazonic super bright led. If not mistaken around $30. I had used it for some fish and softies.
  20. Anyone? Anything to trade with?
