Does this compressor require regular maintenance for cleaning? When I perform maintenance check and routine cleaning on my common chiller, i would noticed dirts accumulated on the alum fins and blower side.

I noticed some of the live rocks have hairy stuff on it. Is it normal?

It maybe due to excess nutrient. Try Algae blenny or Tailspot blenny :-)

Hi, I'm a newbie. Is it a common practice to use cool wool as a mech filter? Do most reefer do it? I do understand that it needs to be changed frequently to prevent nitrate built-up. Thanks.

Filter wool helps me to trap dirty particles but needs to be cleaned and replaced frequently to avoid clogging.

I've encounter aiptasia inside my 100l tank and after introduce 2 peppermint shrimps, aiptasia numbers significantly reduce within a few days. These shrimps must be hungry and work hard for foods.

my pico coral tank suddenly have algae blooming. its grow till like seaweed. super long. covering the whole tank. I've tried taking the rocks out to clean, but it grows super fast. what can i do ?

Try to control the nutrients level, I'm keeping small size hermit crabs inside my tank and the algae problem is resolved.
