  1. If you are just starting out, then sticking to a single lens might be better for you. With too many choices, you end up worrying about focal distance instead of composition and subject. For me, I'm using a single 35mm prime. My legs are my zoom
  2. Yes that is the one that cannot be killed...but now that you killed my ric, I can sun the rock dry....
  3. Aiptasia is amazingly hardy. Tried kalk concentrate and JJ. Visually see them shrivelled up and disappear but appear again after a few months. I'd take out the LR and sun it dry.
  4. Hey, thats what a farm uncle told me too! If you want to "brew" your own bbs, decap the eggs with bleach first. Save yourself the trouble from having to separate the egg shells from the bbs.
  5. Each has it's own good points I guess. Decision, decision, decision. Best if I could put them side by side to compare. Pretty scary to buy something which I have not seen.
  6. Hi Peter, planning for LPS and maybe a few SPS right smack at the top. 1xG2 180W is 2feet in length only right? Can cover 4x2x2? If so it is definitely a great bargain. Any place that I can view the light for myself?
  7. Thanks Jacky, still planning how I should set up for my 4 feet. This LED light is going to cost an arm man!
  8. I keep reading about CREE upgrade. What exactly is the benefits of CREE upgrade? Stronger, brighter LED? By how much? Tried looking at CREE website but there are so many different types of LED, I have no idea which ones are used for the upgrade.

  10. I second onizuka. He tried the hardest!
  11. Why have you summoned me? Its a rock with one tiny ric. Moderate your expectation abit k
  12. Hi Nitro, I'm in the midst of setting up a 4x2x2 as well. From what I understand, the flowrate should ideally be 10x of the overall volume therefore your 2xAB2000 might not be enough....I think. I'm planning for 1xAB7000 but still in two minds if I should do 2xEheim1262 instead or not since I have AB needlewheel pump failed on me before. The next concern for me is the power consumption, AB consume less energy but Eheim is definitely reliable. Its a neverending headache! Wish you all the best in your setup
  13. Hi Orsony, as spoken, see you on Sunday regarding the chiller. THanks.
  14. Hey, is 2xAB2000 enough for your 4ft tank? The flow might not be adequate
  15. I'm looking at the Reef Octo 5000 or 7000 pump for my new 4x2x2 as well. The low power consumption sure looks good to me. However there are not much information on it yet so I'm alittle hesitant.
  16. I agree, the price that Starfishes quoted is not expensive at all for an Apricot hog. I pm'ed him for the price but too bad my wife don't want me to keep anymore pets at home. Hope your hog find a good owner who is willing to spend and pamper it!
  17. Next time, don't let them float down the tank by themselves. Place them in a small container, bring them to a piece of secluded rock and release them there. Fish think anything that is thrown into the tank are food.
