  1. Looking for red reidi seahorse pair or single. Currently I have a pair of yellow reidi seahorse in my planted tank. Looking for another healthy pair to add on. Will be better if they are captive bred else wild caught but stable is good as well.

  2. I quitted once after I move house as no space to house a 5ft tank. Then I move again and finally decided to go back to the hobby again. For me, the 2 most challenging factor for this hobby is lack of space and lack of time. However once a marine hobbyist, always a marine hobbyist...will someday go back again. The draw of this hobby is too strong

  3. bro xiggie is right, as long as it is not rotting or melting, just leave it alone. however zoa may close due to pest. you can try dipping it in freshwater for 10 mins, it should open it soon after u put it back. The other reason could be it is multiplying, for this reason it could close for days or even weeks.

  4. What is yr current KH level ? If less than 8 and yr cal is too high, u may want to dose individual triton bicarbonate to raise KH without having to increase solution 1. Iwarna carry the specific element to raise KH. But u will need to raise it slowly. Do note that both cal and mg level will affect KH as well

  5. Nice setup. Try to check yr KH twice a week initially. Also watch the dosing tube for solution 1. It may get clog after a few months. If u notice a drop in KH it maybe be due to clogging in the dosing tube especially for solution 1. Change it when that happen. My earlier experience

  6. From the water test, sometime unwanted heavy metals elements are detected. These elements if allow to elevate further will become toxic to the livestock hence I have decide to still do water changes even though less frequent. From my last test in Aug, somehow my tin element is in the red and I was unable to determine the source as I did not dose anything else. So since I don't intend to do the monthly test, at least a monthly or bimonthly water change will help to dilute major deviation

  7. The 3 triton solution cost $180. Base on my daily dosage of 80ml per solution, will be able to last for 3 months. Per water test cost $90. However after regular testing for the first 6 months, I have fine tune my dosing and administer my own test. Hence will only do water testing once every 3 months. Total cost per year will work out to be about $180x4 + $90x4 + $150x2(marine salt) = $1380. Not a low cost but cover all related water dosing and salt

  8. Agree with bro James that maintaining good water parameter with no water change for a SPS dominated tank is a challenge. I am a triton user for a year now. I have a medium bioload tank. In order to keep the nutrient down in order to maintain my SPS colour, water change maybe inevitable. However the freq of the water change can be lengthen to once every month or two
