  1. where to collect fan ? if somewhere in eastern part of island, please reserve one unit of the fan for me. thank you.
  2. wow, interesting to know that yellow anemones are possibly dyed. will look out in case it starts to bleach. thanks for kind advice.
  3. i am using a CL650 for my three footer. the pump i use is 1,200 l/h. cannot recall how many minutes it takes before chiller cuts in and out. chiller temp sets at 27, and will kick in at 29. after reading the above, i changed the pump with an increased pump flow rate. the pump is rated at 2,000 l/h but i tuned it down a little, may be to 1,800 l/h. i have since seen a marked improvement. it now takes one hour and forty minutes of idling, and when temp reaches 29, the chiller kicks in. however, it takes about the same amount of time to bring the temp down from 29 to 27 before the chiller kicks out again. overall, like i said, marked improvement. something to think about, bro dominik, increase the flow rate.
  4. almost a week liao. still not hosting. anyone got suggestions ....
  5. i have a common green anemone which hosted a maroon clown for months. fantastic co-existence, until anemone grew too big. now replaced with a yellow anemone, but the clown just would not go near. it has already been three days. why ? why ? wh ?
  6. i am currently using two Seio M820 for my 3 footer. thinking of replacing one of the Seio with a SCWD for better effect of water movement. would this be a good combination ? any advice.
  7. i agree with you. chiller should not be cutting in and out so often. will definitely affect life span. anyone can help with their experience ?
  8. based on above information, chiller pump runs at 800 l/hr, chiller runs for three minutes and then rests three minutes. hypothetically, all things being equal, lets say we change the chiller pump to run at 1,200 l/hr. then what would be the anticipated run time of the chiller and the rest time of the chiller. i am not asking for speciific timing, but rather should run time of chiller be now longer or shorter. similarly for the rest time - longer or shorter rest time? your comments please.
  9. you have exactly echoed my sentiments, bro framerunner. your illustration of a crystal vase bidding at a pasar malam is a very good example of people acting in cahoots. also, clone accounts .... (not mentioning buddies) .... were quite rampant in recent time in this src site. how naiive can one be to wait to detect traces of people in cahoots. one of the things they don't teach you in Harvard University is called Experience.
  10. no matter how thin you slice a paper, there is always two sides to it. for those who advocate the bidding system, have you ever thought of people who work together in cahoots !!!! in flowery language, they push the price high up. if a genuine buyer comes along, okay they made a kill. otherwise, let's wait for a sucker next time. don't flame me. feel guilty if the shoe fits you. my $0.02 worth.

  14. yes, i have previously encountered the same problem. i overcome it by ensuring that the pump is nearer the water surface instead of "sinking" it at the bottom of the tank. hope it helps. let me know.
