  1. Hi guys! Some updates on my tank. Noticed this little critter in the millie. Can anyone help to ID this crab - or rather more importantly is this crab safe or should i destroy it STAT? Some of the other new additions to the tank In the midst of trying to make a new video. No enough footage yet. The weekend is over
  2. Thanks, not too sad la, just quite amazed. Didn't expect that. It was quite a sight to see part of the fish sticking out of the polyp. Actually bro Ashwin might be right, perhaps the fish died and drifted over? It hardly came out so might not have had a chance to feed... Comparatively his other tank mates are all very greedy and competitive during feeding time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. OMGOMGOMG. Just got home and saw my super sun coral eating my Liopropoma swalesi!!?? Goodbye to $45 and I didn't even get to see it much since it was always hiding... Luckily it's not a thousand dollar L. carmabi... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for the advice! I decided to go for it and got one over the weekend. It has since disappeared in my tank... Hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Got it off a friend for about $150 each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Its week 10 everyone! Have been a little too fast and furious with the purchases, if I do have to say so myself. Oops! Anyway extremely excited to share my latest buys with everybody - Not very big ones but I really love the colours. Anyway, I would like to ask for some advise from everyone. I have been contemplating buying a sea hare, but I read online that it can excrete some toxic substances when antagonised and is also very difficult to keep. Does anyone have any experience? What would you all suggest?
  7. Wow! Must feel very shiok! So satisfying when your corals are doing well. Everytime any of my zoas have another baby I feel super happy. But still have to wait long long before any of my frags become that big.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Youdontknowme: if you're referring to the timelapses as well, a tripod is a must haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the encouragement everyone! Youdontknowme: initially a Canon 500D, recently 6D/ 100mm macro/ settings--variable. It mainly depends on the amount of light on the subject (my maxspect razor is set to mimic a day night cycle and I don't mess with it, also some parts of the tank get more light than others) and what depth of field I want to achieve. Hope this helps! (: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hahaha yes! Sps are particularly beautiful through a macro lens... The polyps are really cute too (: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Happy midweek! Visited THE master cedric over the holidays and obtained a few new frags Hope they will grow fast! Fingers crossed that my Tri-colour Acro will turn purple soon!
  12. Hello boys and girls! Have been overseas for some time, so haven't really been updating. Happy Vesak Day! Glad quite a few holidays are interspersed around this time of the year.
  13. Happy labour day everyone! Back to work for a day tomorrow
  14. Got poisoned by all you bros! Haha! Here are some of the SPS I'm starting out with. As well as my new goby Finally found the perfect one.
  15. Thanks bro (: Will try… don't know what else left to take hahaha How does pineapple sponge look like? Did a Google image search but could not find any good pics. Based on the pics I saw, pineapple sponges look larger? Its very hard to take a clear picture of the ones I have cos very small, like a pin-point dot with about 5-8 small hair-like arms radiating from it. Also doesn't move, it just appears on my front glass.
  16. Doesn't look like… also they don't seem to move around on the glass...
  17. Hi bros, recently I have been noticing some small white dots stuck on the front glass of my tank. From the front they each look like a pin-point sized dot with thin hair like "arms" (legs?/tentacles?) radiating out from the dot. When I clean the glass it will lift off easily, but after a while I will see them appear again… Wonder if any of you have observed this in your tank as well? What are they? In freshwater tanks there is a similar-looking pest that is called hydra polyps, but these ones look more dot-like than tubular… I have not come across anyone discussing this on src, is it something I should be worried about?
  18. Bro my light is the same as yours… Maxspect Razor (300W). Didn't mod anything leh. I agree got a slight purplish hue...
  19. Thanks bro! Not TOTQ material yet la. Need to upgrade to SPS
  20. Week 6 of the tank. Did a time-lapse of the LA Lakers opening and trachyphillia eating.
  21. Some pictures of the inverts instead of coral, for a change. Think the sexy shrimp are really very cute, although sometimes they prance around on the zoas and make them close up... grrrr -___- https://www.flickr.com/photos/51318352@N07/sets/72157643225876473/
  22. Oh I see now... Somehow the images failed to load previously... Paiseh. Very nice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
