Anyway, there are artificial methods of promoting growth and maintaning a reef tank such as calcium reactors which supplement calcium and skimming. If I remember correctly there is a reefer who maintains a skimmerless tank. Although inducing CO2 may not be critical as the others, there are people who have failed in their refugium. Maybe CO2 could improve macro's growth? I don't know. It's worth trying.

Caulerpa. Tank is 150g and abt 6 mths old. reverse lighting cycle for 9hrs.

brother, how I wonder there is no NO3. purpose for the macro algae is to reduce the NO3. Since the cylinder is lying around, might as well put to use. therefore, asking around whether anyone has experience inducing to refugium=promoting their growth=reducing NO3.

my friend, I was into planted way before marine. and i know photosynthesis requirements. What I want to know is whether inducing CO2 will improve their growth? Cause mine isn't doing too well. Main purpose is to remove NO3 of course and not to have a beautiful macro garden which I had before in planted tanks.

If that's true, how then can macros' grow? I believe, there is CO2 content in saltwater. But if, we are able to increase it, can they grow better?

The question here is whether the refugium's condition is ideal for macro's growth? And what can be done to improve and accelerate its growth cause it is a form of nutrient export. Does anyone have any experiences with dosing CO2 without much indifferences?

Hi Guys, I tried many ways of tuning the knob but to no effect. The water level just to rise to the "V" funnel. What could be wrong?

yup, it has been tuned to the fullest and yet the level won't rise. roughly around 2 mths in op.

Guys, macro needlewheel users, need your help. Mine cannot skim. The water level never reaches the funnel. Highest that it could go is below the funnel. Tried adjusted the outlet tubing and the level now fluctuates. Any advices ?

No. I place mine in the sump. If there are bubbles, they would have resolved.

Hi, My CL650 shows wierd displays yesterday. First it dsplays " E1 " then , "12" , "11" , "10 ". Moment later, " 02". I re-start the chiller just before going to bed and shows the correct temp. This morning, it shows " 01" . Anybody experienced this before?
