  1. hi guys.i discovered pudddles of water on my floor and i think that my tank is leaking.however the leak is very very little.i do not noe which part of the tank it is coming from.so do i buy a new tank or sumthing can be done to stop the leak?

  2. Sorry to dissapoint u,but it will not work.cannisters work by forcing pressurised water through filter media, causing dirt and all that yucky stuff to get trapped in the media. The dsb theory utillises the fact that denitrifying Nitrobacter and Nitrosomanas bacterial colonises faster and better in zero light levels.that is why the sand bed must settle and must not be disturbed. The whirling water inside the cannister will cause the sand to "fly" all over the place. If your cannister's pump get stucked by the sand,it will be an expensive mistake.and there will still be detritus settling in the sand no matter how hard u try to keep it away...just my opinion.

  3. hi guys, finally got my red sea berlin yesterday.problem is,it flooded when i switched on my 4000l/h pump.there is no control valve on the skimmer so i installed a control valve on the pump.now the foam is at the level of the skimmer neck but i dun see any foam or skimmate comming up and into the collection cup.so my q is,wats the idea water, bubble level in the skimmer?and does it needs to break in even when its a used product?

  4. placing the sponge in the water can cause back pressure which will slow down the water flow exiting out of ur skimmer, causing the water level inside the skimmer to flunctuate.remove the sponge or saw it short if u cant stand the bubbles.control the water level valve of the return pipe.

  5. hahaha, dats a really funny suggestion...put wheels on a tank?ok,firstly it won't look nice, secondly are u sure that the wheels can take the dynamic load?thirdly, how can u move it without the water slashing out of ur tank?and lastly,i would love to see a crazy idea that worked...hahahaha..i'll say go ahead and TRY it..den we can have more "giving up hobby" sale... :D:D

  6. :off::off: not that i want to flame them.but the mentioned lfs has a reputation of jacking up prices, selling low quality livestocks...i dun wanna elaborate on that but please becareful with the purchases u guys make over there. And i noe where they get their stock from, beleive it or not, their selling price is 4 times their cost price for some of the cheaper corals...so do really practise caution.
