A nano tank is not for everyone, at least not for me. The limited choices of fish and corals just put me off. I don't think i'll ever be happy only looking at Gobies and Damsels. If you are looking forward to keep Tangs then go for the 55 at least.. if that's what you have

They wont pick on any fish, well from my own personal experience they will help to bring out those shy fishes.

Just make sure you glue all the joints and fittings properly, to ensure no leaks. if not very leceh.

Wow, you weren't kidding when u said not cheap huh. But I really didn't expect that amount.

I've had my blue tang for close to a year now and till today. He still changes color at night while sleeping. He turns white while in his crevice. But once he is awake, he regains his color. I'm guessing he does that so the others won't disturb his sleep? The other tangs do occasionally change color as well. The powder brown would at times turn very light brown. The naso would turn super dark. And the sailfin turning white. I think they do that to indicate their mood or if something is disturbing or bothering them. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

with unions i dont waste my time at normal hardware stores anymore, rarely i could get all the fittings i need. i have more chance getting all the things i need in those industrial areas.

Y dont you run Chaeto for the time being, so you can take your time to DIY an ATS, and as for the acrylic plate, is it just to support your dosing pump? if it is then y not check out daiso or ikea, could save you some time even some money.

Till that day comes, don't worry too much about it. So what's your plan now? I'm sure you must be excited to add more life and colours to your tank.

If you are going to remove half the sand, it could cause a mini cycle.

I like your rock scape. And it's a really neat setup. Just a word of advice tho. That tang can grow to be a bit too big for your tank.
