There are two types of birds of paradise birdsnest circulating around now. First, the ORA Birds of paradise birdsnest. This supposed to have round tips. Second, the more common "birds of paradise" birdsnest. This one is probably Seriatopora hystrix and has spiky tips. I've got the latter if you want.

I would think that if it is a cantilever balcony, then perhaps it is safer to stick to the ratings or close to it. Usually these have lower load ratings.

Durso will not be super quiet. Consider Herbie or Bean animal if you want a really silent overflow.

So if using UV , the pump for water is from where? Sump?
Usually, from sump.

UV when used properly will kill everything that goes through it. But your tank would have a lot of beneficial bacteria clinging onto the rocks already so killing beneficial bacteria with UV shouldn't be an issue. Anyway, with UV, you're only targeting the free swimming state of ich.

Carbon before the DI filter removes chlorine so that the DI resin won't be damaged by the chlorine. By adding anti-chlorine, chlorine will be removed so the DI resin won't be damaged. However, anti-chlorine typically uses an ionic salt (sodium thiosulphate). So adding anti-chlorine would increase the TDS and would exhaust the DI resin faster than if carbon were used. So only if the damage caused to the DI resin is negligible as compared to the additional salts added in the form of anti-chlorine, would I think that running the DI resin without anti-chlorine would be better. Otherwise, maybe adding anti-chlorine is better than running without anti-chlorine and carbon.

If you're asking how to remove ich completely, then apart from copper/ chloroquine phosphate (which would kill all your corals), the only other alternative is to remove all fish and let the tank fallow.
If you're asking how to control the ich to a manageable state, you can try UV or simply stock fishes which are less vulnerable to ich (mandarins) or just keep more inverts. You could also try medicated food. Dr G's line of medicated caviar. But not all fish will eat it though.

Pukani is the least dense of the rocks sold by BRS. According to BRS's website, it is also the most porous.
Nice rocks you've got there btw.
