That was my understanding but the article say nitrite does not warrant routine testing.

New to salt water though have been into fresh watet many years. Recently I've been reading alot on temperature requirement on reef tank and nitrite in water and getting some diiferent and confusing argument on the above, so which is the correct one. Just to share here so the expert here can advise. 1. There are argument that coral need not require low temperature but very much depending on their origin. 2.Effect of nitrite on saltwater fishes. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-06/rhf/index.php Just want to clear those doubts to move on. Hi Bro and Sis New here and since I cannot post in Pasar Malam so I post here. Used to keep fresh water for many years , gave up my 5ft tank a few years ago due to due to commitment in RL. Saw my friend marine setup and start to get itchy again. Since I am new to marine and zero knowledge, do not want to spent too much on it. Any bro here giving up or upgrade , decided to let go old set and accessories cheap. Please let me know. Thanks
