My system is very simple. Just filter sock, skimmer, refug with miracle mud live rock and macroalgae. Using red sea coral pro. My nitrates at best is 10. Phosphate is 0. All readings are taken from API. Microbacter 7 dosing everyday. Grotech ABCM weekly. Yep thats about it.

At least 2 months. The size of the chaeto is the same. The only difference are those loose strands that managed to anchor itself in my refugium. Those i did see growth but very little. Prolly a few mm

My tank sure got things to absorb...i got lots of algae here and there...fortunately the live rock i got has tonnes of those slug like snail to clean my glass at night...just that compared to before i added the chaeto there doesnt seem to be any difference in terms of nitrates...good thing is my phospates are zero...so probably im doing something wrong in terms of growing chaeto

Maybe u can try replacing the prawn. I also did the same as you but ones my prawn desintegrated i top up somemore and just left it there..eventually u will notice a difference...it just takes time

My no3 at best is 10. Definitely not a nutrient problem. Previously used some cheapo clip on lamp but guess not enough cause i dont see it grow much. Ill prolly play around with some bulbs first.

Wow i suck at diy, now currently using some spiral 23w daylight bulb. Will see the growth, might get back to you if growth is slowwwwwe. Thanks for input though!!

Bro, sorry ah need to ask a question. I got the same exact quick setting cement as you from daiso and managed to make the frag plugs..but when i soak it in water...there was some weird sediments that came out from it settling at the surface of the water...was wondering if it is normal and safe?

Test for nitrate so at least u know roughly how much water to change...than slowly add fish and constantly test for nitrate and make sure it isnt too high

White stuff is probably just die offs from the rock there is nothing to be worried about. Had tonnes of them when i just started but now all gone

+1 on what drato said..too big a piecw of prawn not good..did that once and it spit it out a day later half digested

Maybe can try feeding mysis shrimp..i feed mind everyday while i feed my fishes...
