hi sifus here... presently my frd is having a 4ft tank and would like to build a sump to start on his marine tank.... so anyone here can advise on the design of the sump... eg the size.... number of compartment.... the use of each compartments.... and the apporiate size for refugium compartment.... can anyone give advise???

well my sandbed has turned almost brownish on the surface since i started this thread.... could it be the high PO4.... seems like the algae wont stop... even the glass wall starts to have a bit of brownish stain....

Hi i have been cycling my tank with new sandbed for about 3 weeks... can see that the white sandbed starts turning brownish... what could be the problem???

hmm u upgraded ur tank?? size??? my tank sit onto a cabinet... last week i redo my tank with new sand and new location.. then just now i was fixing back the cupboard doors and cant seem to get the same level at the edge.... abt 0.2cm difference in height... think the location is not nicely level than the previous location.. dunno whether will cause problem after some time.... btw i am also having my 2ft cube in my bedroom on parquet flooring also....

hmmmm our floor is not perfectly level i believe.... well need to get the bubble angle finder to check on my tank... how slant is considered slanted???

hi guys when u got ur new tank and selected a place to put ur tank... did u guy check the equilibrium of the whole setup at the location u want??like checking whether the whole cabinet or stand is in equilibrium and not slanted one side or other...

well i think i will go with eden 228.... plus one more powerhead but not facing each other... maintainance of the eden 228 shouldnt be a problem... well placement of the eden... hmmm think put in front of the tank... so that more current can be created in front of the rockwork... what u guys think??

hmm what is the price range for the wave2k??? and which LFS has it beside Marine Life??? is there a wavemaker that really circulate round the tank... even in dead water areas to provide a good wave current in the tank...
