Hi people , Have been searching online but cant seems to find what i trying to look for therefore seek some advise here.. Question : if you were to have 1 X 4ft X 2ft X 2f tank top tier 2 X 2ft x 2ft x 2ft cube tank middle tier Bottom tier will u use a sump tank and share all the water and filtration or will you use seperate filter for each tank. I know ppl will ask what i keeping . 4ft tank is main tank for clowns only with live rock 2ft tank is for breeding another 2ft tank is for growing fries. So bio load is not high as is small fish ... Only problem is by doing so i relize if 1 tank fish is sick or infected with virus its gonna wipe out the whole entire setup... Okay will consider about that . perhaps getting a smaller tank instead of 6ft .... I'm actually looking into keeping clowns and would like to breed them in the future . whats the best tank you would recommend 4 x 2 x 2 for comm clowns of the spawn . and maybe 1 2ft x1 ft spawn tank another 2 x 2 x 2 for rearing the fry ?

Correct me if I'm wrong . when you all say overflow box , are we talking about IOS tank?

Understand where your coming from but if its a 2 ft tank i got no issue trying out but its a 6ft tank its gonna be a mess if i screw things up ..

Thanks everyone for the advise. And i sincerely appologise for causing unwanted dispute between fellow members. After seeing pictures of ppl using ohf set up it look like nightmare to me... And i did try to call sgbro isit possible to make my tank into sump tank . Was told is not cheap to do that as they need to bring tank back to factory re drill the tank and re send it to my house with abit more top up i can get an ready make new tank..

Emm bro i got such huge tank cant be i keep 2 clowns nia.. im sure at lease gonna have quite an amount of small medium fish maybe add up go 20 pcs or 25 pcs. And i think without filter is a way no no ... its very risky as no filtration... it have high chance water get spike by lots of things..

Yes this tank i had is last time keep arowana 1 ... and just by keeping fw already i don like the Ohf as it looks damn ugly...all the dirt that traps in the tray... Ita really head pain for cleaning it if keeping salt water... I belive the tray small holes will get blockage by salt .... As my main concern is this 2 tank is quite new and in good condition . I wish i could buy new tank but u know the IO in the house making tons of noise due to too many tanks if i get another tank... By the way thanks everyone for advise ...i will reconsider should i go into salt water tank:(

Hi ppl . Would like to know anyone here keep sw tank with ohf ?? Seems like everyone is using sump or ios. As my current tank is ohf set up theres no way i can convert to sump tank. Will i be able to use ohf for my tank.? 6ft 2ft 1.5f--》height Current ohf is 6ft 3tier. As for what am im keeping , i don dare to go too complicated as i have no experience in sw tank. All i can think of now is 50% live rock 50% dry rock. Sand bed .. Coral wise most likey easier coral for begainner.. Anyone have sucessful reef tank with ohf? Can share share ur experience . Hi ppl . As seen on the internet everyone is saying that adding salt in a pail with pump mix for 24 hrs . Measure what ever needs to be measure than your ok to add water in tank I currenly have 2 x 114G tank and if i follow the steps as stated its going to take me very long time to fill up both tank. Is it possible to add fresh water into tank than add in salt and power head and let it run maybe 48 hrs? than once reaches desire salt amount than turn on my filter pump to start cycle the tank? Please kindly enlighten

Hi rudy , I understand that its best to get them together and introduce in at the same time as to prevent territorial behaviour ... i read alot from google that its no abvisable to mix diff types of clows tgt as they will fight.. But on the other hand i see alot ppl mixing 2 or 3 types of clown in a comm tank..? Am i right to say that they are trying their luck on this?? As they tried to introduce them into the tank same time. All are about the same size...small juv fish.

May i also ask if in a school of 20 if theres 1 particular pair and i do no seperate them out will they be over aggressive?? Because if i were to remove them another pair would have pop up again ....

To my understanding from google ...in a group there will be 1 so call alpha normally bigger in size will becomes the female and pair up with 1 mating male the rest will be non mating fish...if female die 1 of the fish in the grp will take over its position . Please correct me if im wrong??

Hi Everyone. Im doing some research on marine aqurium and fall in love with clown fish. So im doing my part in digging videos and google everything i can . But i have 1 question for to be enlighten by experience ppl over here. Knowing that clown fish will pair up when adult stage if i have a comm tank like example 20 clown if all gonna pair up than how ? i cant be seperating them pair by pair de mah.... if i leave it as it is will there be any problem ? if there is an ans in this forum pls kindly post an link for me as i have been searching but cant find this same topic.
