    hi all,

    i am selling all my sps and lps cos i don't have the time to look after them due to my busy schedule... will be keeping fish only.

    let me know if you wanna drop by... i will be free only on monday and sunday afternoon after 5pm. the rest of the day, i will be home after 10pm

    Hi ...

    Want to gather some feedback..

    I am thinking of upgrading my tank (currently 3x2x2)... without having to replace all my existing equipment again...

    Currently I am using 2 x 250w MH (normal individual pendant type) over my 3 footer.. without T5s

    So how big a tank dimension can i upgrade using back the same lights? I am keeping SPS & LPS ... 4x2x2 ? 3x3x2 ? 3x3x3 ? ...

    Any SPS tank using 2x250w MH that is bigger than 3x2x2 .. please advice?

    Yes.. should be.. Infact still only warm to touch..

    But need work if you want to do that. Initially i tried but failed coz it leaked.. You need to open up the pump and white tape inside and the screwthread. The the hose connecting part also has 2 parts.. gotta glue or white tape the screwthread parts also. Can also dun use, as with one of my Rio32.

    If you do not do all the glueing and white tape, sure leak..

    Maybe I will attempt SPS again 1 year later or so...

    looking at your parameters from your signature you should be able to start SPS. (maybe a bit more attention on your water quality... eg: mg, PO4, etc) and you got the basic equipments also.

    What I think you probably started on the wrong foot.. ;) IMO birdnest are not for beginners, it need high lights and good flow.

    I suggest you try out some of the easier SPS... eg: digitata, montipora cap. Look out for reefers selling these SPS frags and try them out.

    Over time you will gain experience and knowledge (maybe equipment upgrade along the way .. :P ) by then you may want to try other SPSs.

    Aft abt 1.5yrs of 3ft tank...

    ME n my wife feel tat enough is enough liao..She find tat its too small to huse more fishes n i find tat its too small to get more corals...

    So we agree to upgrade to a 4by2by2.5ft tall tank...kekeke :D

    Best thing is tat she agree to share some of e costs too....kekeke :yeah:

    Again like last time,70% of my things r 2nd hand fm sg reef....

    Using tis tank as a divider bet my din area n walk ways in my living rm..In all got 3 views...

    Tank n equip spec:

    4(L)by2(W)by2.5(H)ft with an attach 0.5ft side overflow with 2 holes drill for 2* durso pipe.

    Cabinet is 4.5ft(w) n ht is 3.5ft tall so as to b able to huse tall equipmt inside.

    sump tank is 32inc(L) by 1.5ft(W) by 16inc(ht)with 3 compartment

    60kg of grade1 sand to create a 3inc sand bed

    LR ard 60kg of cure LR.Abt 40kg is fm my main tank.

    Ehiem 1262 fm sump to tank.

    Atman 2*150w with 4*24w pl with individual timer

    Chiller resun CL650 with rio32hf as pump (reuse fm 3ft tank)Plan is to make it as another outflow to e main tank direct.

    RM 2ft tall beck.skimmer with ehiem1260 as pump (reuse fm 3ft tank)

    1*Seio m820

    Last resort may be might wanna let go the Kole tang and replace the Chevron. Any taker? just let me know k? :thanks:

    Currently I have a Blue eye kole tang and now still pending to purchase the chevron tang. Need some advice whether is it ok to mix them together? Any expert here had any experience mixing them together?

    Yours is a blue eye kole tang? how much are you selling and what is the size? :rolleyes:

    As long as there is still pressure in the tank there is no need to refill. Only when it is very very close to zero should you have it refilled. Alternatively you can get a spare CO2 refilled just before your current tank runs out. That way you can have the replacement running while you get your current CO2 tank refilled. I think there is a reefer providing CO2 refill service if I did'nt remember wrongly. Not sure if he is still providing the service. Best to check with him.

    Hi everyone,

    I have recently bought over a 2nd hand CO2 tank, lately i noticed that the tank pressure gauge indicating 50 kg/cm2... so now i wonder:

    What should be the reading of the tank pressure then I need to refill my CO2 tank?

    Also, what should the correct reading on the working pressure gauge?

    Need help urgently cos' if i need to send my tank for refill I need to stop my CR and also hunt for a LFS that provide refilling service...

    CO2 tank owner please advise ... :bow::thanks:
