  1. Try a horse-shoe shape with the centre facing the front of the tank. Gives you very good perspective for a cube. I am having that rockscape for my 2 ft tank too.
  2. A coloured Palm 505 handheld for sale. In excellent condition. Bought for about $780. Selling at $380. Reason for selling: Tired of having too many digital products on hand. Comes with the original box and all original accessories. You got to see it to believe it, all as good as new! For enquiries, pls PM. Handheld available for viewing before purchase. p/s: There are NO scratches on the palm screen or on the handheld.
  3. yup, frozen mysis and brine shrimps are a good way to get your blue tang eating.
  4. It is a wooden stone air-driven skimmer. Haven't been very satisfactory with the waste it produces. I suspect that the low quality of the skimmer causes some of my livestock to die. Would it be better if I upgrade to a Weipro 2012/2013? Which pump would be good to complement the Weipro skimmer?
  5. Haha good question. I am still looking for a particular type of boxfish: Ostracion Cyanurus/Ostracion Tuberculatum. They are generally bluish in color with a little yellow and brown here and there. Very beautiful creatures. If anyone knows where I can get them, pls let me know. Tks!
  6. 250 Watts, are you referring to blue light? And can that 250 be summed up with a few T5? or are you referring to a tube only?
  7. I have a 2 ft tank with an overhead MH light. I am thinking of supplementing the light with blue lights to aid in keeping softies, SPS etc. Would a T5 be good? I hope someone can recommend me a specific brand and let me know the price range (and of course where I can buy it). Thanks dudes!
  8. Oh come on.. boxfishes are not dangerous. They are simply sensitive creatures.
  9. Something is definitely not right when you mentioned that she 'complained' you don't give her enough trust. Have you been acting in a certain way that puts her off? And what exactly is she complaining about you not trusting her? If your answer to the above is positive on yourself, then great. No worries (no cheating, you better be frank to yourself). If anyone is to worry, that would be her. But if you do admit that you have a problem that she's complaining of, then perhaps you had better do some soul searching and find the problem - and solve it. Good luck.
  10. boxfishes are fine as long as you do not keep them with other aggressive fishes that may threaten them. If they feel threatened, they will release toxins that will affect your water quality, probably killing all other LS in your tank.
  11. my tigertails don't eat ghost shrimps, so i gotta feed brine shrimps. even then, they are picky and eat only 1 or 2. i tried to feed bbs, but its too impossible (i have to switch off my filter), although they take it slightly more readily than brine. sigh...
  12. Typrobin said he went SKIMMERless (that means without a skimmer), not SKIMless (as you interpreted).
  13. maybe you would like to consider using a crab trap to catch the mantis?
  14. you can try the aquarium shop beside beauty world, bukit timah. i've seen them stocking on seahorses. not very friendly people there though.
  15. same here. i always switched off the skimmer for abt an hour or 2 when i dose plankton and additives. ensure that non of the good stuff is skimmed off before getting into gear. might sound overly cautious, but really, there isn't any harm in doing so.
  16. really? haha, i thought it was something else...
  17. My male seahorse's belly open up a little like a mouth and release a green string of something. What is that? Is my sh well?
  18. if i were to cut off a leg of a starfish and leave it alone, will it grow back into another starfish?
  19. sorry i've already got a clown in my tank, and i really feel i have enough of clownfishes at the moment. tks.
