  2. Where can I buy the BRO for $10? I'm looking for one.
  3. heh.. neopets fella eh? to switch to english version, scroll down and look at the bottom left hand side of the screen (assuming you are at the main welcome page). You should see a drop-down bar that allows you to choose your language.
  4. Erm, if I may be objective: 1. Typrobin, you shouldn't have made your donation to Red Cross without receiving the money. Since you chose to do that, you should accept that you made the donation at your own risk. 2. It appears you have informed the other interested buyers about your Red Cross donation, but you didn't mention to 'poor student' Malcolm that $30 will be donated to Red Cross, isn't it? So if he isn't aware of it, and eventually he pulls out of the deal, you can't blame him for your $30 'upfront' donation. 3. Tapping on the above 2 points, since you already made the donation, take it as a good cause from your heart. No harm, isn't it? 4. Did 'poor student' malcom accuse you of cheating his money (abt the wiring and stuff?)? Your statement below: "y would i wanna cheat it out of something tat i am not earing a single cent from? y would deepblue wanna sell something tat is not working??" Seems to suggest that 'poor student' Malcolm called you a cheat or something similar to that extent. It wouldn't be fair to him if he hasn't said that. 5. You stated: "now the "poor student" backs out of the deal due to the fact that the MH is not wired up..assuming tat it might be a faulty unit...i already told him tat it is pretty easy to wire up..but he insist on trying the item before taking it...so i called off the deal" I do not know the agreement between Typrobin and 'poor student' malcolm, but: Typrobin, I think if you had given 'poor student' Malcolm the opportunity to test out the item, he might have eventually bought it. Unfortunately you called off the deal, for what I presume was because of your lack of time and patience. (I see you have to clear all your stuff and I really sympathize with your predicament) AND 'POOR STUDENT' MALCOLM, if there was indeed an agreement on your part to purchase the item @$80 (whether you are aware of the Red Cross donation at this point is inmaterial), and if you never did raise the issue of the wiring at the point of agreement, then that would have been your responsibility (or for want of a harsh word: 'fault') for the unfinished sale, i.e. breach of contract. My tiny 2 objective cents.
  5. i know boxfishes can be really playful. i used to keep one in my nano tank and everytime i get close to it, it would follow the direction of my face (i.e. if i look left the boxfish would LOOK left). i think its really cool.
  6. As above. Plan to do one myself. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Was the seal broken when you bought it? Either way you might want to consider bringing the food back to change.
  8. the wooden air stone works extremely well for me. its supposed to be inserted into the tube taking in air into the pump (i.e. the tube that is supposed to be left OUT of the water). i'm not sure why it isn't working too well for you guys. the size of the inlet hole indeed affects the amount of bubbles. the lesser air it takes in, the lesser bubbles (or no bubbles at all). that's why you should use a wooden air stone to ensure that air is not prevented from entering the tube while reducing noise at the same time (or perhaps those valve that other hobbyists have suggested?). if you have just bought the macro and it isn't working well, i suggest you bring it back to change. it could be due to a manufacturer's defect (after all it is made in taiwan). i got mine and it worked perfectly well since day 1.
  9. Don't remove the gravel on the tubeworm. If you do so you would probably kill the delicate worm. It takes probably a week or more to grow a full, new tube.
  10. Oh, I'm currently having this problem too. After using my PC for about 3 years, one day when I was using it, it just reboots by itself, and it continues doing so. Hmm...
  11. As above. Year-end house keeping sale. Going for $280 (whole set). Negotiable. Please arrange for own transport.
  12. 1) Use a wooden air stone to insert into the tube. That should cover up the noise and also make your bubbles even smaller. 2) Did you check if you have achieved the right salinity in your water? Too little salt will render the skimmer useless, and you won't see bubbles.
  13. thanks for your help pegasus. ya, the angel is a pity.
  14. my tank is abt 2 ft long. I used an entire packet of phos-zorb and it has been in my filter for less than a month. nothing has died.
  15. are u informing that you have sent me a PM or are you informing that you are taking back your PM?
  16. the fishes are all compatible with each other. no aggresiveness. they are weaned to eat pellets. of course if you feed them frozen food they would love it. my puffer don't have to take meat. pellets are fine. as for my angel, i'm not too sure about it pecking on corals. pls, pls let me know if you would like to take all. pls drop me a PM soon ya? tks.
  17. I used PhosZorb and had my lights on timer. average timespan is about 10 hours per day. it was still fine when i left the country. 2 weeks later when i'm back algae has grown all over the tank. I had to clean up the entire tank and restart my water cycle. what could be the reason for the algae bloom? is the phoszorb working? or could the phoszorb have reached its absorption limit?
  18. i'm keeping the inverts. its the fishes i really need to get rid of. i don't think the fishes will survive in my small pail, and my water conditions are not ready yet.
