So...I’m out of salt and in my short reefing history always used Red Sea Salt. Before I go out an buy my next batch I thought I should ask what the seasoned refeers thought would be the best way to go. Standard or Coral Pro? I did an alkalinity test today using a Hanna tester and got a dkH of 4, I knew this was wrong and tested tested again using my nyos test kit and got an 8 for dkH. I checked the Hanna reagent and it had expired in 2016. I did a second test on the Hanna and got a 2 - So I am guessing it’s useless but wanted to get some views from those who have used the Hanna testers if the expiry of reagents means that the results go way off from your experience.
