ya, managed to save all my corals, but lost 2 of my mandarin, 1 neon dottyback, 1 firefish, 1 banded brittlestar, a few nasa snails, 2 yasha gobies and shrimp combo and lastly my priced all 8 clapping shrimps. what i learn from this is never assume the worst wont happen, infact my gravity feed chiller was to be there for just another 2 weeks then , i will start transfering to the new 5ft, but just too bad, lucky now my new tank is a flood proof tank, maximum flood the tank will ever see is 20l of water, all safety checks from sump to tank already in place

Hi guys, yesterday the unfortunate happened, my 3.5ft old tank flooded as there was a power trip caused by my refugium t5 light, and my chiller was using a gravity feed so all 400l of water flooded the whole house , then as i was trying to save the LS and LR and transfering to my new 5ft i notice some of the LR have black areas, usually places where it was stack and covered by other rocks, what is this black stuff? should i keep these rocks or dump them? not the entire rock black but just small parts of it, by the way these rocks were initially dead rocks from yrs ago and has been running in my 3.5ft for 4 months since i came back into the hobby

actually the most possible reason y they mount it inside is because scared of itchy fingers , of which spore has alot, last time when my car was fully decal, within 24hrs got $%@%$@%$ start peeling already

i using reef bugs, duno about pods buts corals open damn big when u dump in a fresh supply of reef bugs, i know there is a population of amipods in my tank but i just cant see them, i only realize because now i am in the process of aquascaping my new tank, so the other nite when transfering my rocks from old tank to the new , i saw a amphipod corpse (quite big) floating arn

oh btw henry is the owner of marine life, at west coast (hong leong garden ) he dont sell many fishes and corals, mainly cleaning crews and some other fishes, but dont expect to go and see tons of variety of fishes. but he knows his fishes well , so u can expect to get good healthy fishes from him

thats y its better to get those that can feed on prepared food, but feeding habits of mandarins are they feed constantly throughout the day, but i only feed my tank every alternate days, so far so gd, been keeping them for 3 months already, little humming helicopters

ya henry got nice mandarins, i had 1 which i thought was gone as i din see it for 1 week, then henry told me to get his mated pair which are already feeding on henry gourmet and he still fed them to show me, after adding the new pair, my old 1 which i though was gone came out and now he also eating henry gourmet, suggestion to get mandarins from henry, btw i am not advertising for him, as mandarins are ver finicky eaters, its better to play safe

finally tomorow i will go and collect my new sump and irwana will deliver the nsw, so i can slowly do my aquascape using lr from my current tank as base before going furthr

well since i have the compartments for it , no harm adding more surface area for bacterials, coz i will be having lesser lr in the tank due to 3 sided viewing
