I have copepods too but they seems to attach itself to my clowns fin or body izzit ok for the fish? I bot mandarin to eat the copepods but then I find the fish like to hang at the water surface Why like that? Thinking of jumpimg out of the tank izzit? Haha Later at nite it go hide into the LR Dinner time also never come out Is this sign good or bad? Plse advice

I bot them before I get to know of this site and shop owner (where I got tank and equipment from) said its ok to keep. And its already been a month in my tank when it starts to die. Now its too late it disintergrated. I hav no pic to show juz some remains and rubble. I tried to find them online but just cant find info on them. I learnt my lesson... Its a painful thing to see.

use what to pull it off? it stick on well, I might hurt the fish.

I noticed a transparent bodied parasite on one of my clown fins it anchored like a flat fish with 2 black eyes and black body pls help in getting it out, must I isolate the clown or wat? help urgent.

I bought 2 orange colour coral (dunno the name) feels hard to touch but looks spongy. After setting in the tank for about 1 month they started to die slowly by means of polyps coming off from the whole coral. I remove the parts that fall out when water change but I left the stone where the roots are in the sand. What should I do? I have 1 more dying should I remove before it died altogether or leave it? Please Help...!!!

Hi Bawater I have been looking around for answers like this... But I have a query...How did you manage to get baby brine shrimp? You hatched them yourself? Where to buy eggs then? What kinda of animals eat baby brine shrimp? Brimp shrimp are kept in seawater or freshwater?

I keep cowfish before it was my very first batch of fishes cute it looks but dun be deceived by them. My seahorse was killed my that I saw it nipping the head of the seahorse I took it out but died shortly. After a few weeks the cowfish also go heaven dunno why. Now that before I purchase anything I read up first. Sad to lose animals you know

I have some tube worms in my tank basically for decor...but I didnt feed them with anything I use filter sea water for water change Does sea water contains plankton naturally? Must I go get plankton for them if that's the case?

I have the same crab (the corner left) brown colour too. Izzit harmful to keep in the tank or must I get it out? What do they call?

Huh? You interested ah? After what AT says is enuf to frighten me coz I really dun wan it to ruin my reefs you see. But if you just wana know It looks like a sea slug to me with 2 colours white and red and when it moves around the tank it resembles a spanish dancer's dress with frills. That's all It costs $10 when I bought.

Spade, do you chop your shrimp before feeding to the anemone? I used to mince the meat but found that it makes the water seems cloudy and smelly but after a few hours clear liao. Why is that so ?

Read from books that spanish dancer are hard to rear as they require special diets. What exactly do they feed on? I have 1 spanish dancer when I first started the hobby. But died within 2 days. Shop owner told me was that the water was too "new". Got such things one meh? Now that my tank is almost 2 months old. Izzit advisable to keep one again? Advices welcome

1 pantherfish about 4cm in length juvenile 1 Bennett's puffer 3cm in length juvenile All must go. Can swop for a small coral. Interested please reply Wrassy

Thanks guys Anyway I have no budget at this moment becoz I still dunno what to get... What kinda system that's best for fishes and corals? Whats a sump? Is a chiller necessary? I think I still have lots of reading to do. You guys are pros manz... well at this moment I wouldnt want to spend so much on my 2 footer becoz once I have my own place then I shall start pestering you guys again. Rite now I need to know how to handle my puffer. It's kinda miserable to put it in a hatchery...dont you think so? Any suggestions? By the way I posted my "Newbie" message wrongly. Hi guys, guess I am the only gal in this group...dont worry I am not that girlish anyway...! New to this site of course and about 2 months in this fantastic hobby. My username is Wrassy. 23 yrs old only... No pics yet sorry until i can find one first haha seldom take pics you know? Fav past times are reef-watching and reading books of related topics. Dont understand much anyway.. Keeping land tortoise and have 2 dogs, both females, I think females are more sweet. Anyway I have a 2ft marine tank (beginners mah) with 1 branch coral, 1 blue sponge,a couple of live rocks, 2 anemones and 1 panther grouper I almost forgot I also have 1 bennett's puffer kept in a hatchery container inside the aquarium becos it killed my tube worm... But I am thinking of getting a bigger tank after I got my own place. And I really need you guys help (I mean in advices) in setting up a reef aquarium ok please : )
