Just a update to these tread, took by open brain and dip into fresh water for 5-10second, you will seen hundreds of flat worm dislodge from the coral and dead.... so for the time being, guess that resolve my flatworm issues, but still need a long term solution for it... who have tries the Velvet Slug from Aquamarine?

Guys wanted to know if the velvet slug is effective in getting rid of flatworm, dont wish to use flatworm exit on the whole tank, anyone got experience on this? please share, tks...

Once you open up the casing of the MH, there should be 3 components, the ballast, ignitor and the Capacitor(May not be present most of the time). If you ballast is the electronic kind, then there is no ignitor. The size of the ignitor is about the size of a matchbox(rough estimate) and it is light in weight. The capacitor will be cyclindrical in shape. Yeah, used to ask from you the macroalgae back in 2003 when the forum just started...

You might like to look at your ignitor... it is a rectangular block, see if it is burn or not...

Any idea is this a disease found on Favites and open brain? Look at the pic, I have highlight in red those intestine like substance. Have dip the coral in Tech D twice, but the things is still there. Also found the rest of the coral turning to skeleton, saw some brown substance on it, is this the brown jelly? How to cure it?

The videotape, broadcast by Metro TV — a commercial channel based in Jakarta, was shot by a cameraman named Hasyim who normally photographs weddings. He captured a horrific record of the unfolding Dec. 26 disaster, starting minutes after a giant undersea earthquake in the Indian Ocean toppled buildings and including a scene hours later showing a long line of corpses covered with cloth. More than 104,000 Indonesians died in the catastrophe. The tsunami swept through southern Asia and as far as east Africa, killing more than 150,000 people in total. The video was given worldwide distribution by Associated Press Television News and can be viewed on many Web sites that carry video news pictures. The recording starts with people milling on the streets of the provincial capital, Banda Aceh, shortly after the magnitude-9.0 quake — the world's biggest in four decades — and climbing onto piles of rubble, unaware that a massive sea surge was heading toward them. Some buildings had crumpled, with floors lying on top of one another, while others appeared undamaged. As his videotape showed a building that became a pile of twisted girders, Hasyim told Metro TV that five construction workers were sleeping inside the unfinished structure when it collapsed, probably killing them all. To get to the HK fish street, alight at the Mong Kok Mtr, look for exit B3. Once exit, goes up the overhead bridge, turn right and then on the first left turn, goes down the bridge, woola...... the fish street of HK.... both side of the street is pack with fish shop, both marine and fresh water...

I have got the aquamedic aqualight MH set, have been using for the past 6 months. Recently burn the ignitor and change it. After the change, I find that the MH is giving out humming noise. The ballast is the german ballast, Vos something but inside there is no capacitor at all. Can it be that there is no capacitor and that is why it is giving out this humming noise? Any idea how to fix it?

It is a Tang, slightly more than 1ft... anyone any idea what Tang is this? Also saw a 1ft+ blocci Tang...... a real beauty I must say. Too bad the fish is right inside the shop, cannot take the photo of it.
