  1. Ya, was at Reborn just now, trapped due to the storm outside. The fish shipment has just arrived this evening, they were unpacking the fishies... saw lotsa maroon clowns (i notice that LFSes are flooded with them recently), mimic yellow tangs, naso tangs, powder blue/brown, butterflyfishes of all types etc. Corals not in yet..
  2. Anyone spotted any of the following? - octopus (the 8 legged invertebrate ) - cuttlefish - hovercraft boxfish - miniata grouper If spotted can pls tell me? Thanks!
  3. hmmm.. i think most fishes that will eat saltwater feeder shrimps will eat the freshwater glass shrimps as well..
  4. Just came back from Reborn... lots of powder browns and powder blues, mimic yellow tangs, lipstick tangs, clown triggers, as well as the usual clownfish stock..
  5. I'm currently keeping an undulate trigger, have kept a niger trigger and a Picasso trigger before. Feed any meaty seafood - prawn, fish fillet (i used the Dory fish fillet bought from supermarkets, cheaper... but beware, cos some fish meat are very oily and will make your tank water very oily), squid. Btw, i think your chromis and blenny do not have very long more to live... unless you transfer them to another tank..
  6. Anyone spotted small, healthy miniata groupers? And selling for how much? Thanks! Btw, any updates from Reborn?
  7. Very little indo-pacific stock this week due to the fishermen celebrating Hari Raya, not going out to sea. Should be better next week.
  8. But i'm very scared of the young guy working in Sealife, his too 'personalized' service always made me very uncomfortable until i stopped going there altogether.
  9. The clicking sounds could be due to pistol shrimps too (which are harmless). Anyway to answer your question, a fierce trigger will finish up any mantis shrimp (and indeed, any living crustacean) in your LRs in no time. I recommend the Undulate Trigger for the job.. unreservedly. Though you'll have to decide where to relocate the trigger after it has done its job.
  10. Wah bro, you're keeping 1.5m long fishes? I think you'll need a tank at least like that in Wisma Atria basement floor.
  11. Any updates from Ah Beng's? There's a blue-head jawfish at Reborn..
  12. Lots of flame angelfishes and tiny yellow tangs at Ah Beng's..
  13. Hey bro, go check out Aquamarin for pinktail trigger! I think i saw it there yesterday..
  14. Any updates from Reborn this week? Btw, i can just picture the scene at LCK now...
  15. I think the female big, male small only applies to paired clowns, where the bigger of the pair will turn into a female while the smaller remains male.
  16. Mine are very fast, they'll finish up whatever food i put into the tank before any other creature can get to it. I'm still thinking of a way to feed my goby before it starves to death..
  17. Lots of BIG blood/fire shrimps at Reborn! Each going for $12... All look very healthy too!
  18. The trick to pairing True Perculas is to get 2 of different sizes.. the bigger one will subsequently turn into a female and become more aggressive whilst the smaller one will remain the submissive male. Of course, the 2 must be introduced into the tank together. Well at least this worked for me.. I bought mine from Ah Beng's, where the 2 of them were packaged in 2 seperate bags altogether, obviously not a pair. Anyway, how much did your LFS sell the 'pair'?
  19. Hmmm.. any luck feeding it cyclop-eeze?
  20. Well, I bought mine for $5... Some LFSes are really cutthroat.. preying on the unsuspecting reefer.
  21. Urgh... True Perculas are too aggressive. I wouldn't recommend anyone to keep them if you have other peaceful fishes in your tank.. these other fishes will probably either get harassed or starved to death. Just my personal experience..
