i don't think it's bioload is high. it's great because my starfish also eat algea! since it's flexible, it can even go into the protein skimmer to eat the algea!

hehehe.. in order to get both pincers of the same size, the boxer has to molt around twice. first time will usually have one big and one small.. ehehe.. not balance cannot fight! matched pair, after 3 tries! by luck! hehehehe if they don't match, they will usually fight to their death! if they are match, they can stand side by side and produce a batch of eggs every two weeks!

yes eheim do have hang on filters 3 model, 100, 150 and 200. i don't know about the price of 100 and 150 but 200 will cost $47 at Nature or $48 at Petmart, with media inside. i just bought one for my bro.

hey thanks thanks. i don't think i will need 55watt 50/50 any more as one of my light i have used 2 50/50 tube, one 18watt and one 36watt. for the other tank, i will just use a white 36watt PL. thanks for the info.

actually the brand should be JBJ, i also don't know why the label say Transworld. i think my 18watt 50/50 also like that. also cost me $15 since i also got it from mr. chan. so far it's the cheapest there. mr. chan will be bringing in 55watt tubes soon.

actually for the overhead box filter, if your water level is high enough, there will not be much splash too. actually i feel that overhead box filter is more effective and cheaper than hang on filter since it's bigger. but one thing bad about the overhead box is that it's big and take up space, space where you need to put your lights.

hey what's the nicest lion fish i can get in singapore? budget around $10. i just started another 2 feet tank, thinking of keeping lion fish, what can i keep with him? can i keep 2 lionfish in a tank? seems like a lot of people here usually keep one but i see fish farm can keep a few together. maybe you all got some other reason for keeping 1 in a tank only can keep lobster with lion fish?

for me i'm a 2feet fish and shrimps only tank. got a bit of live rock only and also some plant. i am using top filter around 5 layers. i think for 1.5 feet if you bioload is not too much, maybe power head with UGF should be ok.. and also try not to over power by buying too powerful power head, too much water current also not good for the fishes mah. can also use canister filter, or those hang on filter.

is there 50/50 for 55watt PL?

one question about Hawaii Marine, i was there a few weeks ago, the shops seem to don't have much life stock leh. is it like that all along?

what kind of hermit crab you got from Marinelife? those orange/black leg one? i don't know they are from hawaii! i got 2 similar hermit crab but they are blue/black leg, $3 each, that's the big reason why i cannot part my money for those hermit crab at Marinelife, what a big price difference, they look similar to be except the colour band. one more reason why i don't not buy from Marinelife is because it's so cold there! scare whatever i buy there cannot survive in my tank. hehehhe.. actually when i see them climbing, i think they are trying to get above water (most crabs like to go above water once in a while), not because they are trying to eat algae. hahaa.. ya, it's that big orange hermit crab, at first i also find it too big but i find that the body kind of looks like lobsters and so i buy it! and also seldom see this kind of hermit crab. thanks thanks, i will go find the shells for my hermit crabs. what you looking for at Sealife? the big or the small hermit crab? i was told by the owner that they got new stock of fishes tonight.

hi clowntrigger, i did see them when i was there to buy the big hermit crab. actually i also very tempted to go buy 3 of them on friday! those small hermit crab got pointy legs, i prefer those with more fatter and rounded legs which can be found at MarineLife. but those at MarineLife cost 3 for $20, quite expensive leh. but MarineLife got 3 types of small hermit crabs. those at Marinelife is nicer but expensive and very very small size. you went on sunday, which is before i went, the big hermit crab very nice right? i bought the orange one with white dots. i also looking for nice shells for them to change, so far only found them at NTUC Pasir Ris. don't know where have leh.
