hi guys! I got a problem with macroalgae. i think my fish like to bite them, very soon, my tank will be fill with pieces of "leave" floating around. very messy....
do you guys put them in a sump instead?

normally we will put it in sump! but if u dun have,
I will suggest to have a basket in ur main tank (its depend on ur "kungfu" to hide it not to be so eyes catching) hahaha.... then ur macro algae is save... -

i did read some article about this creature, some bring benefit to ur tank! but i cant remember liao. Mayb u can check on [Marine reef aquarium handbook. By Dr robert J.Goldstein. barron's.]

I'm guessing these suckers may part-time working as scavenger. Think I read up something in Dr. Ron forum something like this. Those buggers are very adaptive to new environment.
How about try cleaner wrasses?
Again, I recommend Dr. Ron forum for best feedback.
Keep us pose on any progress, such knowledge would be very valuable to many.
ya! im there too. so wat they recommanded is leave ur tank fishless. beside of that i really dun kno wat to do.
i try cleaner wrasse b4 oso. not help! itself oso "kena"!

the fire fish size is oso about the same as the cleanner wrasse, so fire fish wont allow the cleaner wrasse get any closer!

after 10days without any sight of them. finally, a group of "baby" isopod attack my firefish & six line wrasse. six line wrasse only eat which is on their body. especially on its tail. never get 1 fr the fire fish body!
most of the RC member recommand for fishless atleast 3-6 months...

so pls be caution when handling coral, every coral produce poison, is only ur body can "tahan" or not!!!

21 Jul: eggs finally hatched. transfer 10++ baby clowns to hatchery container (locate in main tank)
22 Jul: morning found all babies gone except 1.
23 Jul: last survivng baby gone too...
i guess they must have become supper/ breakfast for other tank mates. i'll need to setup seperate tank to decrease the mortality rate

coz they dun need the rock to survive. they can be attach to another rock too. (they r not like LPS). so the rock is not really important. juz my 2cent...
