  1. Bro,

if your tank is mature and the conditions stable, your success rate is better, when my tank is new, I lost some monti frags, always have problems keeping, now that my tank is more mature and the water parameters are stable, the monti are doing fine...

i c. will keep this in mind.

btw, ya, y? ur tank is so nice. setup a new la, side by side....:yeah::evil:

  2. Bro,

the growth rate is alright lah... as long as got grow I happy liao... but some of the tanks around I've seen, the SPS grows really fast... Important thing between the 2 pics as you can see is the colour of the staghorn... use to be an unimpressive greenish hue, like ugly duckling now become swan... :yeah:

    ya! swan...

i get myself into sps too. but only motipora. juz to try n c am i able to keep or not! (a frag from a forumer) :D will try my best!

thanks to him so much!!! :paiseh:

  3. some update!

this morning, i caught n kill 3 from my powder brown tang's body. (final comfirm) it is isopod! coz they grow big enough, n u can actually c it clearly.

    wat i did:-

-caught my tang out from the water n treat directly.

-make a 1 minute fresh water bath.

    wat i realise:-

-they can move like insect when out fr the water.

-out from water is much easier to get them

-they still ok with fresh water bath.

4 wat im thinking is, this creature like tang alots. coz whole of my life, only 3 tangs i have, and all of them will suffer for this.

i wonder, how many of them still remain in my tank. :erm:

  4. On the topic of plate corals... anyone seen a red plate coral be4? I just came into possession of one... but really suspect it's dyed, but the coral looks very nice and healthy, so I bought it, but is there really such thing as a red plate coral?

bro, can show the pic!!! sounds interesting!!

  5. either plug it out and kill it, or separate the fish wait it to move away loh.

There some chemical\medicine product to kill them, but I believe the good pods will suffer too in the main tank.

In case you worry many will turn up later, time to try get a hand on fish which may interested to eat them. Me dunno, maybe wrasse.

i try to plug it out b4. and it is hard. ( the harder u pull, the harder it suck on the fish body). and ur fish start bleeding.

i believed this pod oreadi keep some egg in my main tank.

i get a cleaner wrasser b4, but the isopod is too big for them to eat!! :( (then itself oso "kena")

    poor thing.

    any other suggestion?
