  1. Thanks. Any issues with the MH "sticking" or overheating the digital 3-way timer?
  2. I'll be running a 150W MH pendant.Anyone using the Maxi-Tronic 3-way timer?Or can I use The Ben timer?
  3. Sounds like a good success with UAS. Care to share more on your UAS?
  4. Well it's quite simple. I'm just not willing to spend a good couple of hundreds on a proven set of good LED. My current cheap LEDs are just 60W in total. I can't even hold the colours of my zoas properly. But this is not a fair testimonial for LEDs. There are many good LED sets available in the market, it's just that the initial hardware investment puts me off.
  5. Sorry, I meant to say that I need the old tube to measure the dimensions so I can build the frame. Anyone has any old 2ft tubes lying around and can giveaway to me? Thanks..
  6. Thanks for the advice. Will build my frame to accommodate T5 tubes. Thanks.
  7. Thanks. After knowing the reduction of tube life by 50%, I've decided to just use the appropriate ballast respectively.
  8. Hi I need a 2ft T5 tube to custom build my DIY light frame. The frame will eventually house a MH pendant in the middle and 4x24W T5. But for now, will have MH & 2 LED washers in place of the T5 instead. So I need the T5 tubes to build a future-proof frame. Thanks. You can sms/whatsapp me at 945525zero9 to arrange pickup. Prefer East.
  9. Hi, I'm getting a 150w 14k pendant set. My tank is 2'x2'x1.5'(H). I'm thinking of supplementing with 2x24w T5 blue/actinic tubes. Is it necessary to add T5? If so, what's the ideal 2 colours?
  10. Found a ultra lightweight Phillips ballast as above. It's perfect for my Diy set, but they don't have the 24W version. Can I use it for 24W T5 ?
  11. Not advised. 2 flows converging into 1 pipe of all similar size only will cause a restrictive bottleneck at the t-joint. The one joining at the middle joint at the t-joint suffers the most blockage. Unless if u want to have 2 return pipes going separately back into display.
  12. If your horizontal L means the outlet is pointing upwards, a big NO. Do you want a fountain on your aquarium?
  13. I think it's more like this. The hole will introduce air when water drops to this level during the stoppage of the return pump, whether deliberately or power outage. Siphon is therefore broken here. Your sump will then not overflow. But can your return pipe be detached at the display tank to be drilled a hole?
  14. Bought from petmart this afternoon. Bought at $18. Still in box, haven't used yet. Wanna sell at $14. Sms / whatsapp me at 945525zero9. Collect at Bedok reservoir by tmr. Else will be next week as I'll be away from wed.
  15. Good. All taken. Hey Mitlancer, I'm not sure if the organisers allow earlier decomm. . To bro fair to the rest of the bros, I think 7pm is the absolute earliest bah.. I fear it may even be 8pm..
  16. Yes. Have to wait till a certain time before exhibitors can tear the tanks apart. I bought some dry products, and even these can only be collected at the end of event, else the shelves look bare. Lol..
  17. The perils of owning a small small tank at home for the competition.. Tore apart the home tank for the event. Lol..
  18. Why not bro? Looking at the detailed way you approached this, I'm confident it's not beyond you. Maybe pool resources with Mini Reefer, I'm sure it'll be awesome..
  19. Hey bro statfish123, do drop by and say hello ya. I'm at tank 4.
