  1. thanks! would like to hear from other reefers too! i had one last time didnt eat any corals. was even eating pellets 9which i am aware is very rare for chelmon and other long mouthed species). the problem is i came across ana rticle which say that the copperband may pick on meaty corals like brains. so....would like to hear more from others and see the situation ^_^

I kept one last time and it didn't touch my coral but died when i restart my tank. Am looking for one now as its very good to control aptisia. The last one I bought is from ML where its trained to eat the pest. So now waiting for ML to bring in again. hehe.

They are made of solid TEAK wood. The entire structure is built by joint and there is not a single nail in the structure and therefore will not rust. The leg of the stand are made from 10cm by 10cm TEAK wood.

    Tank: 3ft by 1.5ft by 1.5ft

    Refugium: 1.5ft cube

    Sump: 1.5ft by 1ft

The water overflow from main tank to Refugium then to Sump

  6. Hi Mitlancer Bro

There is a shop in Tembeling Road (near Joo Chiat) opposite Haig Girl School does sell arcylic cylinder (all sizes). They can also custom make for you as long as you provide the design. This shop is mainly doing export and wholesales and do entertain walk in cutomer. This shop is located next to the coffee shop on Tembeling road so should not miss.

bro, do they also do arcylic tank? Thinking of doing one.

  7. thanks all for your kind comments. :D

planetq, Jiming is correct. starboard (or chopping board) has a slight rough surface. Already had quite a bit of problems making the rock stay put, during rockscapping.

Actually, some of my rocks are suspended by acrylic tubing ranging from 10mm to 25mm, with holes drill into them to prevent dead water spot. I was hopping to suspend the entire rock work on short tubes. 1st i think it will look cool and 2nd it easier to remove detrius. However, i only manage to suspend a few base rock only. It really tough trying to stop the short tube form sliding all over the place. Moreover, i did not use any epoxy to hold the rock together.

brittlestar: you can see the starboard in the side view of my tank. Or you can go to any shop selling household items and ask for plastic chopping board.

thanks again all for your comments.

    Cheers

Sorry was browsing thru the thread and have question on starboard. Is it safe for BB? Will it not decay in long run?

  9. nvr used a 5000 shorty II before, but i used a small brother biostar flotor from aquamedic... it's performance is great. but i dun like their finish. Deltec has a more professional finish... but sometimes who really care abt the outlook as long as it work.

i think both are rated 1500l and are needlewheel. if ur shorty is not giving u other prob, maybe not economicak to change... maybe a 702 will be a better option for u

    Thanks bro.
