  1. Bought on 10-Mar-15, used only for about 6-months, then ended up in storage for very long because its too powerful for my setup. SGD200, self collect at my place in Clementi PM to deal
  2. Codium, i didnt have luck keeping these. Hope they grow well in your tank
  3. Thanks for the lead PCW, i've also gotten another suggestion that those are 'Majano', a kindof harmful anemones that strings coral, not like thats a problem in my tank though
  4. Thanks bro! unlikely to be harmful at that size. I removed them to sell them off
  5. March 2017 updates, the tank is going to reach 2-years mark in a month. Its mostly dominated by C.Prolifera which managed to root themselve over half the sandbed now. The purple Ochtodes are back and bigger than before While the sump is mostly Ulva as filter. I'm constantly fighting to keep the NO3 above 10ppm to prevent the algae from dying. The current living inhabitants in the display tank are pair of mandarin fishes clownfish regal tang Christmas tree worm lots of brittle starfishes, snails who are laying eggs everyweek?, sea cucumber Harvested lots of baby brittle starfishes Would anyone be able to identify the anemone in the middle of this photo?
  6. $15 for 10 mini stars. Min 10 stars per purchase Self collect at my place or voiddeck only (Clementi) PM to arrange
  7. Happy New Year everyone. Here's a quick update of the tank in 2017. Lost most of the Caulerpa and the purple Ochtodes are coming back strong
  8. Only 2 lots available. 1 lot (in photo) for $10. Self collect in Clementi only
  9. Rescaped the tank slightly so that its not too empty in the middle. I've been growing the macro in the sump attached to egg-crate, it makes them easier to be shifted to another part of the tank. Heres one egg-crate-O-Macro stuck on the sandbed. And lastly the beautiful copperband with 3 different kinds of green macro (C.Prolifera, C.Serrulata, C.Taxifolia)
  10. Unfortunately my regal tang is too spoilt with meaty food, it has never nipped on the ulva. I do find lots of pods attached on it thought
  11. The full tank shot as of Nov-2016 The aiptasia are gone! but its not exactly a good news, i've also lost many brittlestars and fanworm which might be the result of the aggressive anti-aiptasia campaign. Think i went overboard and added copperband & filefish, and one or both of them found the starfishes and worms to be delicious too. My plan to sell the brittlestars has been ruined I have also discovered that the Gyre wave-maker hasn't been performing as it should after a year of running. Had to replace the impeller and its all good now. And that could be the reason why the macroalgae hasnt been doing well. I have also been monitoring the water level more closely to ensure NO3 stays above 5ppm. These are what I have dosing now. More regular dosage + higher water flow and now the Ochtodes are back! Hopefully i've have luck replanting them into the main display. The C.Prolifera have also taken root in the sediment and almost everywhere else And the status of the sump/ATS/algae incubator where i keep 'back-up' of algae strains The fastest growing macro today is the Ulva, they can multiply nearly by twice everyweek
  12. Thanks! how about LFS? please let me know if spotted in LFS instead, its very hard to access farms for non-driver
  13. To help me clear the aiptasia buffet, will also keep as perm staff
  14. Sure! i'll be posting them in the 'buy & sell' probably at the same price as previous release its for 'decorative' purpose so it is turned on only when i'm at home in the evening and morning. Yep yep, a gyre wavemaker, full spec in the first post is still valid except no more skimmer
  15. Finally managed to make some new photos of the display tank. Left with only the greens, I am now constantly fighting a battle with the aiptasia and nutrient (lack-of). I've almost doubled my nutrient dosing to keep the macro happy. The fishes and seahorses are still healthy thought It is about time to harvest those pesty brittle starfishes again
  16. Wow beautiful growth! Yes like what JMW mentioned, i'd trim the caulerpa down so that it doesnt compete too much with the red. If they grow too wild and you still want to keep them, might want to try separating them by cutting the 'rhizome', so lesser chances of mass dying. Not too sure if 'rhizome' is the correct description, Its the one shown by the arrow here http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_6/volume_6_4/Caulerpa_drawing.jpg
  17. Hi bro, there is a thread here http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/topic/137123-tank-in-balcony/#comment-1254503 and i've documented by tank in balcony here http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/topic/136413-40g-long-naturally-lit-macro-algae-tank/
  18. Awesome! Please let me know if you planning to harvest them, i'm willing to buy
