Thanks daimy068 for your reply. How about if I don't seal the starboard permanently to the tank floor, ie. just position it and place all LR on it? Assume I cut the starboard slightly smaller the tank floor dimensions. Does anyone think this is a bad idea in the long run?

Just wondering what would happen to the 4-line gaps between the 4 sides of the starboard and 4 glass-sides of tank over time? Wouldn't these gaps somehow form dead-spots for debris to accumulate? Any one here using starboard can share their experience? Thanks!

So are bio-balls a good adequate alternative to LR in terms of biological filtration purposes? Guess in some way, LR serves little function (besides biological filtration) for SHs as they can't hitch on it.

I noticed from that your tank has no live rock. Are they in the sump or somewhere in other parts of tank or you do not use live rock at all for filtration?

Hi, I am wondering whether a pair of yellow SHs would change their color in a dark tank with a black background and black sand. I am planning a dark tank concept because I like the contrast effect of the yellow SHs standing out from a dark/black background. My only worry is whether the SHs would change their yellow color to dark or black colors to camouflage themselves. If they do, then I'll drop this idea since it would be hard to see them in the tank. Does any one know? Thanks!!!
