  1. Change water the fastest. add sugar to boost bacteria count also quite effective. 1 teapon per dayxshould do nicely. lower mine from 50 ppm to 5 ppm (salifert test kit) in 3 days. :D

  2. don't know..... :( they just drift around and grow..... :P maybe feeding off the copods..observed that they started off attached to a stalk... :huh: like a flower, after sometime they detach and swim away.... :ooh:

  3. Need some advice on algae. My water parameter are as follows

    Kh: 10 (Test kit: Tropic Marine)

    Ph: 8.2 (Test kit: Tropic Marine)

    Ca: 430 (Test kit: Salifet)

    Mg: 1300 (Test kit: Salifet)

    NO2: 0 (Test kit: Salifet)

    NH4: 0 (Test kit: Salifet)

    PO4: 0 (Test kit: Salifet)

    Photo period: 10 - 12 hrs

    Clean up crew:

    8 turbo snails

    4 Sally lightfoot

    12 Blue legged hermit crabs

    3 Sea cucumbers

    1 Long nose hawkfish

    Problem:

    Some of my LR (upper tier one)as infested with hair algae (whole rock became one big cump of green & hairy algae). The bottom tier rocks are covered by coralline. Clean up crew don't go up to clear the algae from the rock.... Can advice why algae grow so well?

  4. my equire is that the water level in reaction chamber should not be higher that beckett housing location. ie beckett housing same height as collection cup. is add extension, that would meant that water level higher than beckett housing ... can that be done without affecting performance... heard that the housing would flood... please advice.
