  1. Bro you should look further into getting a fish tank it is best that if you can get an overflow sytem and sump tank cauce this will make your task easier overtime.

  6. Would like to share my concern about your skimmer stand too. Dun think that it will hold your skimmer when water get filled up. Why not you try a try to fill your skimmer up with tap water and see how the stand fair.

  8. Pardon my question. The rocks that you have ordered, are they cured or uncured?
  9. The 6.5 footer will need a major rescape. Guess you and your buddies will need make a, trip coral farm and pcik up some cured liverocks. Stack them high play with the space that you have then see the difference. But always remember do it slowly.

  11. You got a nice tank there but i think that you are overstocking it hence you shpuld be prepare to do water change and monitor your water parameter regularly.

  13. Either chamber can you can put carbon or phosphate remover. Filter wool only for first layer from overflow to sump.
  14. Let me just list down a few to do list if I were you and maybe you could use it as a guide line:- 1) Measure tank water volume. LXBXH divided by 1000. 2) Buy carbon, phosphate remover and wave maker. As according to your tank water volume. 3) Throw away coral chips and ceramic rings 4) Bring out all liverock for scraping. 5) Prepare for water change. Do practice caution when you are handling the liverocks and please wear heavy duty gloves as there may be fire worms or other pest that my deliver their venomous stings. Once the following procedure are completed my next step would be:- 1) Place liverocks in after scraping. 2) Do my water change. 3) Place carbons, phosphate remover and wavemaker in place.
  15. You got good coralline growth on your rock but also looks like you have cyano problem.
  16. For me I use seachem carbon combo with rowaphos. It depends on individual. I stop using fr cause I have experience that it get jam overtime. If you want a fr I will be glad to give you mine f.o.c which is made by skimz.

  18. You will need loads of carbon and phosphate remover. Actually by now your tank should be mature already. What skimmer are you running? You may need to go shopping for some stuff and be serious if you wanna make others go gaga. Don't give up there is still hope. Don't depend too much on the filter wool just use it as the first piece and you must change it regulary to avoid nitrate build up.
