  1. Wait wait, I'm rather confused by this sexual or asexual thing.... Can I rephrase it so I can understand better - if the caulerpa does not have 24hrs of lights, it will reproduce and causing toxin to be produce in the tank or refugium? Is it?
  2. Yes clear. Thanks once again.
  3. Thanks for the info. So after doing that, it has not break siphon so far?
  4. Hi, May I know for those using the Siphon tube (not the ibox) for overflow, does it ever break siphon due to whatever reason? If it does, do you guys have a float switch to stop the return pump so that the main tank will not be flooded? To prevent the main tank from flooding, is float switch the only alternative? Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the info and sad to hear about your lion fish. Good luck in your upgrading.
  6. Since your return pump is 300litre/hr, can I said that your overflow rate is also about 300litre/hr or slightly less than that since there will be some losses in the return pump? Also is the sump seated besides or rather behing the main tank?
  7. Thanks bluehaven. BTW is chaetomorpha those floating type of macroalgae?
  8. Yep, quite a nice place except parking problem for those who drive. My T5 lightset was bought from there too. There HOB filters price also reasonable.
  9. So if we use chaetomorpha, what is the amount of time for lights on and should it be reverse daylight photosynthesis?
  10. Is the caulerpa the green grape shape type?
  11. Will the girl get a gold plated tap by going movie with you? If not, think she may have better choice hehe.
  12. I said "to them" and not to all charitable organisation leh.
  13. Probably CEO can have benefits and entitlement but patients NO BENEFITS and ENTITLEMENT and cannot have saving too!
  14. Really SAD to hear that! I've not been donating for quite sometime. I would rather use the same amount meant for donation to them to buy my corals!
  15. Thanks Flying Carpet. Went over there around noon and yes, due to the lights it's difficult to determine whether it's orange or not. There were 2 pcs left and I didn't buy it as the attached rock is too big and also can't see the orange color due to the normal light used. End up buying other things hehe. Overall the Cantonese speaking auntie is friendly and will to give discount too. She also said new shipment coming in next 2 days woh!
  16. Can PM or tell where you buy it at this price? Thank you.
  17. Rating for leds like Voltage or Current is quite standard like 3V and 20mA. You may check with the seller.
  18. So they have to be placed in slight shaded place instead of directly expose them to light? I'm using 3 x T5 2ft. Thanks.
  19. If you use this page (scroll to below), you can calculate what is the required ohm of the resistor used in Parallel connection. http://www.projectx.com/Kits/LEDNotes/ They even show you how to connect the resistor to the leds.
  20. I do get some brown ones from fellow hobbyists free. But the last photo is a red ones with 'raised' dots on the surface. So I'm really not so sure whether it's really something different. Bought this from a shop in Cavan Rd.
  21. OK, finally found all the parts except the valve you have hehe.
  22. It depends on whether you are connecting the leds in series or parallel. Here is a very good one where you can input your supply voltage, led rated voltage and current, and the number of leds. It will calculate the resistor value for you (parallel or series). It's best to connect the leds in parallel as if one led don't work, the rest will not be affected. Note : Disregard the auto battery, juz take it as your standard 12DC supply. http://www.projectx.com/Kits/LEDNotes/
  23. Thanks guys. Sorri the first pic is Orange not Pink - dunno why keep thinking of pink hehe. I'm using 2x10K and 1 actinic blue (all T-5 24W each). If too intense light, will it 'melt'? What about the last pc? Why it's more expensive than the other 2?
