hi all, i observed recently that my purple tang is becoming less purple....like losing its color. wat could be the prob? my other tangs and fishes are ok. pls advise thanks

yep hope some fellow reefers can fill me in on the gestation period. hope to witness e laying of the eggs though it is known to be in the middle of the night.

hi, managed to catch botht the male and female. Initially only caught the female...notice that both the male and female refused to eat when my dad feed them....guess they each thought tat their mate is gone. now both are in the breeder net cage....resting side by side. had both for almost 8 mths together, the female longer...abt 1 year plus. I dun feed them anything special.....formula 1 & 2 pellets.....mysis and brine shrimps.....and recently self-made food comprising of market prawns, formula 1 flakes and kent marine vitamin c solution. dun worry ur fish will eat soon....its only 1 day...it takes time to acclimatised. I got no digi cam will take pics with my hp and try to post it online soon.

hi all, juz discoverd that 1 of my longnose hawkfish is pregnant well, saw it and it's mate doin some funny repetitive swimming strokes a few weeks back and now the tummy its visibly bigger and it doesn't swim as much as b4. hence, i think it should be pregnant. This is the 1st time any fish in my tank got pregnant. so is there any precautionary steps I must take? alreayd set up my fry breeding net cage....gonna catch her tonight and put her there. do i need to bring her hubby in too? hmmm...then is there any of the angel family that is reef frenly? heard that e flame angel is already e most frenly of the lot

hi all, was thinking of getting a flame angel.... but read some where that its not reef safe...is it true? also its agressive to fish of its own kind...wat abt other species of fishes? thanks for all info

hi, also bought my white pumping xenia on the same day as you...maybe the same place also mine became totally bald yesterday....so took it out and there's a foul smell too. yep, guess must really see it open up at the LFS b4 buying juz to be sure

i used a 3 foot tank to make the sump. the centre compartment is half of the length, height-wise i think shld be sufficient as it is a standard tank tat was used to rear luohan. got a sand bed abt10-15 cm thick. wat type of plant do i put in if i want the sump to cultivate more bacteria as well as some plants tat remove nitriates?
