  1. I ask for your patience to read this entire post. My tank was powered by 2 eheim canisters + 1 skimmer: 1. 2227 Wet/Dry biological filter (1500L/H) 2. 2224 normal canister filled with chemical media (700L/H) 3. Prizm (600L/H) Total flow: 2800L/H (theoretically speaking) Normal 2ft tank comes up to much less then 100L but assuming its 100L Water cycle rate = 2800 / 100 = 28 Times and hour It is known that flow rate will be lower then stated because of the force wasted in pumping water up into the tank against gravity. Conservatively speaking I will half my water cycle rate to 14 times an hour and even so that still beats any tank easily hands down. At most normal tanks achieve 6 - 7 times an hour. This is the key to success in my aquarium. High cycle rate means water gets 'cleaned' many times an hour. Many say sumps are better, have more flexibility but face it, with a 2ft tank, and only a 2ft sump, what can you do in the sump? you won't even have space for a chiller. Canisters are not that difficult to clean. My eheim ones detach easily without a drip of water and the canister can be taken sepeately without disturbing the pipings to the bathroom for washing. I wish to sell my equipment as one full set because alot of thought has gone into designing it to make the optimum use of space and resources. It is a sure to work system for anyone who takes it. Below is a picture, please PM if you're keen to find out more. I'd be selling (prefably as a set) 1. eheim 2227 2. eheim 2224 3. prizm with overflow attachment 4. MH light 5. Teco RA200 chiller
  2. oh man... tell me about it. the pratas look really good

  4. wah seh! red gonio very nice! hey take more picture of ur US zoa!
  5. When you dose, you must also measure. This may sound rude but dosing is useless without measurements. Besides good water quality, the specifics to watch out for are: 1. CONSTANTLY high MG >1000 2. good healthy population of coraline to start off with 3. lighting in the blue spectrum 20KK That's about it. I say constantly is because it wil be no use if now MG 1200, next moment at 700 then go up to 1000 then back to 500. Keep it constantly high. fluctuations are generally not good lar, for any parameters.
  6. yeah good offer lar, and buy almost all the other corals as well. yes GO does have very nice specimens and my tree came from GO. yes i will be back in a year's time! this time maybe with a custom 3ft or 4ft FOWLR. I plan to build a tank with ZERO maintainence. Or at least automated maintainence.
  7. Almost all my corals gone. So sad but I hope other reefers are happy with what they bought. For all those I say reserve but in the end I bail out, I'm sorry. It's really difficult to please everyone. I have my own convenience and interests to look after as well.
  8. Sorry to all those bro's I have indicated their interest. Nice reefer bought almost ALL my corals all at one time. This specimen is SOLD and COLLECTED

  15. Another snapshot. Very healthy and fleshy. Just taken this morning.
  16. Is this an elephant ear mushroom? Anyway again this mushroom is attached to one big flat piece of LR. luminous blue mushroom, opens really big. $10 for mushroom and rock. John @ 98375929
  17. I think this is a trumpet mushroom. it looks like a trumpet. It's attached to a very very healthy coraline encrusted piece of LR the size of a clenched fist. The trumpet mushroom has mild luminous blue threads. $15 If you think the mushroom is not worth the money, that piece of LR + high quality lush purple coraline with all the other small things living on it is defintely worth the money.
  18. I don't know what is this, but its quite pretty, and its all on this very thin plate of LR. very useful to cap onto ugly corners of LR. Luminous turquoise streaks. I believe that under blue light, they'd look very much more attractive. the LR comes with 3 of these softcorals on it. $10 John @ 98375929
  19. One for $4 Self collect at 605 clementi West street 1 take 2 for $7 John@98375929
  20. COLLECTED. Thanks for interest!
