I'm sick of seeing my fishes jump into the overflow and the worst is, it's a pain in the ###### to catch them out. I bought a acrylic board, cut into shape and cover it. Problem solved!

they sell per pack(plastic bag form) or you bring the jelly can container(sold by them) to collect. Per pack is around $1 to $2. Per container is $2 and above. If regular customer, may have discount. Hope this help.

Get the 2 in 1 Tropic Marin Nitrite-/Nitrate test kit , once Nitrite zero, you can use it to check Nitrate too.

His tank is not that big and not many rocks. Hence, once the tank fully cycle, shouldn't be a big problem to net out the 2 damsels.

Note that for small holes, dust will accumulate faster and you need a gap for feeding.

Eggcrate is an ideal choice for covering. The vents are small enough to prevent jumping fish and big enough for light and air circulation.

If the effluent or output us still 0ppm NO3, then why would you want to do that?
You are right we shouldn't do it if the effluent is 0ppm for NO3. But my effluent output is 100ppm (out of range)! The last time I measured it was 2 yrs ago where the effluent is 0ppm. So, I think it is best to measure it half yearly or quarterly, just to make sure it functions as it should be.

You can take it out and rinse it. I just did mine after 2.5 yrs, so much detritus in it until it become nitrate factory instead of denitrator.

You mean finicky fish formula? So far I don't see any lfs that sells new life spectrum food carry this formula.

If you read the TLF description, the ingredient is only natural seaweed.

I tried both, the sushi roll type easier to soften and easier to cut into pieces to clip on.. The other one seen to be more tough, take very long for them to finish it.
No need to rinse.

I'm using the Aqua Medic SR 400 / HR 400 Sulphur & Hydrocarbonate Reactors. The effluent of the sulphur denitrator is connected to the hydrocarbonate reactor to neutralize the acidic output.

My lawnmower blenny is extremely hardworking and have stripped all algae from LR. I tried feeding it with nori but the nori flakes just float around and were ignore by the lawnmower. Any suggestions?
I got Aquapharm Marine veggies and it comes in small strips of 1mm by 3mm so it's not possible to tie it down to a rock.
If you are selling it, pls let me know. I have plenty of algae in my tank.

Anyone has a nitrate test kit for sale? I'm trying another brand to compare with tropic marin.
