haha.. how u put ur camera in the tank??
For the fishes to take pictures of their owner?
-
actually compared to the normal green float glass that most of us are using now, even if the diamant is indeed greener compared to starphire, both the starphire and diamant are already in a league in their own.....as can be seen from the pictures.
Cos starphire has a max best transmission rate of '90% at 360-680 nm of light'....whereas diamant positions itself as 'up to 92% of light transmission depending on thickness'....so in terms of light tranmission, both will be quite similar as can be seen with the pics by tayhonglee of looking through both glass perpendicular to the glass plane. Thus it wouldn't be surprising if the thickest starphire at 12mm also shows a light green viewed in larger pieces against a dark background?
But potential distortion is alot worse in the starphire compared to the diamant. The effect of looking into the plane of the glass is the extreme angle (red line in the attached pic below), whereas the best angle will definitely be viewing pendicular to the glass plane (blue line). Often we will look at our tanks at an angle (green line) and that's when the distortion of the starphire sets in, more and more as the viewing angle gets more and more extreme.
Thus, personally I feel that even if the Diamant does lose a few points for looking slightly greener than starphire, the Starphire loses a whole lot more points for being optically distorted compared to the Diamant
But no matter what, to have a Diamant tank or Starphire tank will still be the envy of many reefers

I'll go for diamant for my next tank.
1) 30% cheaper
2) Diamant has up to 19mm, Starphire stops at 12mm which may be tricky for big tanks especially if want to do braceless tanks.
3) The sharpness difference is more obvious to me than the green tinge difference between Diamant and Starphire.
-
wow...seems that diamant is optically clearer and yet 30% cheaper?
-
-
what's the price difference between the 2?

Dunno issit because the demand so high that they cannot meet orders....
or they purposely make buyers wait to create an illusion of high demand?
Which is which?

Best to approach EAN by PM for more enquiries...I can't find prices for Deltec HLP pumps also
-
Our sponser EAN, but be prepared to wait ...because Royal Exclusiv have problems meeting orders somehow....some reefers in the states have been waiting for months for their orders

wat???????
what happened big bro? no one was home or the people at home did not notice the outage to the tank? you not using UPS i suppose?
I am that this happened.
I would suggest water change, run to ML to get more salt from Henry.

Actually it is not 100% reefsafe, it's just a relative comparison with other fishes or angels that makes it stand out as one of the more/most reefsafe.
It won't be surprising to see the watanabe pecking at your corals too...I think our bro Dispar Anthias know also, his friend used to have a naughty one
His friend must be damn lucky (or unlucky) to find that 0.000001% specimen whereas the 99.999999% are probably quite safe
-
Other pumps, simply put, if they meet your flow rate, they will consume much more electricity....or if they meet your wattage constraint, they will never produce as much flow
Red Dragons cost a premium for a reason.
-
Red Dragon 10m3 or 12m3 for you then....
98W and 115W respectively
-
congrats bro

yeap, the reason why I am watching is because I was tipped off that it's a commercial posting, although personally I feel that it is not that serious and just hovering in the grey zone perhaps.
meanwhile, let's get back to the thread and let Dazer sell his current batch of self-paired clowns.
-
It just shows that I am watching......Why you might wonder?
Cos if the response of such selfpaired clowns is good,
I will import 1000pcs of clowns and do the pairing job myself
500pairs of paired clowns from Roidan's Reef....wonder will it be marketable or not
Sorry Dazer, most probably I am going to sell it @$39.99

eh... why never resize pic???
