  1. FR is of course better.

    mesh bag also can but have to shake it abit once in a while to prevent channelling.

    Rate of change follow the manufacturer instruction, or e.g: if the bottle says the 400 grams treats your tank for a month, then change 100 grams per week.

    can i throw all 400 gms in the fr and change it every month, cause changing it every week is very troublesome especially when in an fr ;)

    and also the media in the fr suppose to float around or only slightly moving like rowa?

  3. I've heard that red-sea test kits tend to be generous at results.. maybe you could borrow from another to test/verify the kit.

    If the kit shows verifies correct, stop using reef-builder and kalk, try something like baking soda to hold ur kh, as there is no Ca ions in baking soda. Ur calcium shd drop after a while(a week or so),... then test again
