e water level should be ard 10cm above e needlewheel pump. tune e red knob until e water level in e skimmer is at e base of e neck. i have been dosing plankton with e above settings and it never flood my collection cup. most of e time it will end up with some green watery skimmate. btw, if i m not wrong...it is better to off e skimmer for ard 1-2hrs if u r dosing plankton. this will prevent it from skimming out e plankton which is meant for ur corals to 'eat'.

bro, u looking for a CL280 for ur tank izit??? Abit underpower i tink.... ur tank size quite big, why not get a CL650??? Costs abit more but it will cool down e tank much faster

bro, i dun tink e PL light can reach the bottom of ur tank as its 2.5ft deep. if u r not using MH, at least consider 4 x t5HO.... tink it will be cost effective and efficient in e long run. dun risk e life of expensive corals u r investing in ... get a 2nd hand chiller and T5s instead... use a fan n u will have to top-up lots of water everday, dam lei chey . i used to do that until i gave up and got a cheap resun chiller. Tink it will be much easier to get all ur equipments at e begining, rather than upgrade later ... although this option will costs u quite alot of $$$ at first. Cheers!
