  6. water temp is bet 26-28 degree. 1 brian is placed on the sand bed, the other at mid water level on a LR. Any advise? Thanks
  7. Hi all, Realised the colour of my open brian are fading. When i just bought them, the center is bright green, but now, the center green colour is almost gone, looks like normal skin colour now. It has been 2 wks since i bought the brian. Issit due to the difference in lightings? The shop i bought from uses T5 lights, I'm currently using 150W MH lights. Other than the colour fading, the brian looks fine. Has been feeding well. Water parameters wise are ok, just measured again yest. KH4 - 0 NO2 - 0 NO3 - 10ppm Ca - 440 Any advise on what I should do? Will the colour of the brian "brightens" up again once they're used to MH lights? Appreciate if anyone can offer me advise on this. Thanks!
  8. Hi dreamzcape, thanks for your advice. The tank is set up in my office with Air-con, that's why didn't get a chiller. The inlet pipe has air bubble as my DIY sump is overflow rather than below the tank. This is due to the tank not having a drilled hole for water to go into the sump. Instead I used an internal pump to draw water out of the tank into my sump by the side of the tank, then allow the water to flow out thru the pipe back into the tank, hence the air bubble. Is air bubble in the tank consider bad? I thought that will provide oxygen exchange in the tank? 1 more question. How do you guys "attach" your corals to the rocks securely? Mine has been toppled over twice oredi, think it's by the hermits. Just afraid that if it happen a few more times, the coral may not take the shock.
  9. Nope, no chiller. On a tight budget, everything's DIY. Initially just wanted to set up a FOWLR, but can't stand the temptation of corals! haha Slowly learning from the forumers here. Will only add more corals when the existing ones looks healthy and growing. So far so good, they're opening up well for a wk oredi. Cheers!
