  1. I think most is 26%.

Outside the signboard they put 23%, then for spc they got their own reward cards, (buay tong must also have reward system for loyalty customer) add up to at least another 3%.

    I just pumped shell, 26%.

Remember the last serious price war that time, Vpower was hitting a low $1.2+ a litre. Looking at the price now, even with 26% still very "high".

Anyway its an oligopoly market, confirmed.

Even case has accused the oil companies, which of course they deny furiously.

Won't be surprise if you see a few of the oil firms big wig, makan chilli crabs at no signboard restuarant discussing their next price strategry move.

  2. price of membership is much higher.

few hundred bucks a year, I can buy so much more.

I was offered by Amex, but reject, doubt i can spent so much, and their reward system need to subscribe also. Been their customer for number of years liao.

most sux of all, the rest of the credit card companies don't charge for members to belong to their reward system.

One other card I request for waiver after much salivia, not sure next year they will allow waiver again.

I have few other classic cards, which is cheap and good enuff for me.

One year is I think about $30+?? Give me one free supplementary card. I apply another from another bank, got another free sup card.

Pass one each to my parents and wife.

Recently my fren was offered a black dbs amex card too.

If your credit rating is good, and in pretty good books of the bank,

once awhile they will call you for some good offers or promotion.

  3. nice pics DA..!

hehe.. used to be a chore looking at your pics last time, plus the guess work (on actual colours) if the WB is done properly.

    Veri colourful LS. :)

Good shots, except for the flame, focus seem to be on the background, slightly soft on the flame. 350D got 7pt AF, try mega burst and paning, should be able to get a sharp shot. :)

  4. This was done nearer to the tank, I was standing 2metres away, zoom len too, at 70mm. Same setting as above to freeze the tang in motion.

Actual pic was half the tank, I crop away to focus on the tang.

Some noise level but was pic is still usable.

  5. I also did some experimental shots..

Different cam has different settings, as well as your own handling.

(eg. how u grip, hold, weigh of cam)

This was taken with my zoom lens. I was standing like 4metres away from my tank. The tank was lighted by actinic FL only.

Pump up to ISO1600 to get decent shot and 1/40.

Pretty enuff shutter to freeze the yellow tang in motion.

Not that I am an expert, but with dim light and duper zoom, its quite difficult to get a decent shot, but the Canon 350D ISO1600 does help alot.

  6. Lens get mouldy very fast esp in our climate, so drybox is a must.

Invest in one that run on electricity, cost you $99, and give you safe of mind, n no replacement of dry gel.

    D70 & 350D.

D70 top up in image quality, gaining a 1-2% top score over 350D.

Personally that 1-2% to my ###### eye is nothing, since I most probably will be printing 4R or at times A4 pics.

The faster mega burst, lower noise, higher pixel and cheaper lens sway me to get the 350D.
