  1. Erm, better not take chances and net them out when u see them.
  2. Nice rockscaping in both tanks! Can tell you spent the effort to scape your LRs nicely. Is your copperband nipping on your corals?
  3. I had a dottyback once too.....together with 2 blue devils....sheesh, what a mess...it seems like a warzone with them in my previous tank. My yellow n purple tangs are fighting in my new tank too. ZzzZZz...anyone has any idea how to reduce the aggression? Any oh, would appreciate any info/comments on a brazillian royal gramma....planning to have one...thanks guys!
  4. Their fresh water setups are nicer....i like the super paranomic one with the tetras....super cool!
  5. Erm, i dun think thats a good solution for the long term, you wont be able to keep the temp that constant and the work you need to replace those ice packs. Well, i don't really know....
  6. haha, yup its at the serangoon area. Horrible prices with unknowledge staff. A perfect combination! I mean i dun mind paying abit more if they give good advice...but....mistaking a dottyback for a sunburst?
  7. Colin, you arent doing too bad with your 2 FT either. I think the rockscape is pretty nice with lots of room for your fishes. I had a 1 1/2 FT thats nowhere near the standard of your 2 FT. Anyway, the bigger the tank, the more room you have to play with. The boxfish is my wife's fav....but just as a note of advice, its not really reef safe. I got lucky with mine, doesn't disturb my corals at all. Pretty fasinating fish, it'll do this little dance in front of the tank to entice you to feed it. Hehe.....
  8. Hrmz, personally i feel their price is on the high side. But what can we expect when its operating in TM? Imagine the rent. I haven't chatted with any of the shop owners/assistants that much though so cant give any comments abt their knowledge. Theres this BIG shop that sells both fresh n marine fishes (i shant mention the name) that has totally unknowledgeable staff though, or at least the one who served me was. That particular staff didnt even know what hes selling apparantly. Tried to sell me a bi-colour dottyback for $65 (he mistood it for a sunburst) ZzZZzzZ. Cant tell a powder brown from a brown tang. Gosh, i'll never patronise that place again.
  9. Thanks colin n firestarz for your compliments and for passing by. Shoe, im just wondering how well a royal gramma will fit into my system? Whether it's hard to maintain or aggressive. Maybe i'll get one and put it in a quarrantine tank 1st. These fishes are hard to come by....anyway, thanks for your advice!
  10. Thanks....you put my heart at ease.... Btw, im considering adding a royal gramma in my tank, think its a good idea?
  11. ermz, i think bioload is referring to Live organisms only. The dead fish will begin to decompose if your shrimp cant finish it fast enough but if the dead fish is a small one or you have a big tank, i dun see much of a problem leaving the dead fish in there. Food for others? As long as your ammonia level doesn shoot up....shRugz....
  12. Ermz, either a crab or hermit? Maybe you could provide a pic?
  13. Rena Xp3 Cannister Filter loaded with Rowa n Pur II
  14. CL450 outside my cabinet, its too big for my cabinet compartment
  15. T5 lighting, hangon skimmer, thermometer, ammonia detector and ph monitor
  16. Yellow Cotal Goby up for adoption....its abit thin....any takers?
  17. My bubble opens up like this sometimes....can anyone tell me if its healthy or is there smething wrong with it?
  18. http://www.glumbert.com/media/shark.html Found this pretty interesting, so here it is.....awsome power.....
  19. Its a black see cucumber....theres a few at reef n nature at pasir ris
  20. Ermz, i think DI is a kind of water filteration system....Anyone knows how much a RO/Di unit costs?
  21. Mine still doing fine....*Cross Fingers* Have a look when u r free! http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44258 Oh, i used it as a starter only......now never dose already. Anyway, there are instructions behind the bottle....and if i strictly follow them, i'll have to pour 1 1/2 bottles in....
  22. Shoe....didn't took it long for it to start feeding....but noticed that it's appetite is getting bigger n bigger by the day. Guess im lucky and got one with a huge appetite....hopes my bali one follows suit. A wrasse with beard? Now that would be somehthing special.....
  23. Hrmz, i didnt add any prawn meat during my cycling. Added about 25kg of uncured live rocks and the ammonia level started to go up within a few days. As for the nitrfying bacteria, i dumped the whole bottle in at one go. Dunno if thats the correct way though, shrUgz. As long as the whole cycle goes according to what BH has listed out, you are safe to add fish, slowly of course....
  24. Cool....my common cleaner has been with me for about 2 months and its pretty fat, the bali one has been with me for just a few days and im trying to train him to eat frozen food....feeding henry's mix as well for now.
