  1. Hi guys, one unit of refractometer for sale. Condition: only used a few times, so still quite new. Price: $30.00
  2. Just came back from Pacific Reef, saw someone tabao 4 frogfish. Who is it. . . own up now.
  3. Hi bro, I gave them up cause that time still got no car, very troublesome to go lfs 2-3 times a week to buy feeders. But now got my own car, might get 1-2 frogfish in my fowlr tank. I am still finding a way to isolate the frogfish as i intend to keep other fishes and I cant build a 3rd tank. Thanks bro, yea its nice to have a few of them all in the same community tank. Very cute. So will u be getting your frogfish?
  4. My previous frogfsh paradise! Miss all these cute little fellas.
  5. Thanks for the info bro! I recommend getting at least 3 inches and above frogfish, if not very hard to find feeders for him to eat, unless u can train him to take frozen prawn. The other thing is, Anyone tried feeding their frogfish with freshwater ghost shrimp? Not sure if tt works, the reason why i ask is because the ghost shrimp is small size, smaller frogfish can possibly eat it.
  6. Very beautiful frogfish! Good specimen. I wonder how much are frogfish these days, when i started it was still very expensive. Agree with bro dnsfpl, shallow tank is definately better. Anyway the frogfish doesn't need much swimming space. I also have a friend whose bigger frogfish ate the smaller one. Not sure if the big one died, but that meal cost $150.
  7. Fowlr tank is up!

  8. one more thing to add, the frogfish will eat any fish that can fit into his mouth. So bear in mind to get feeders smaller than the size of the frogfish to prevent it from choking and indigestion. Feeding programme: 2-3 times a week would be more than sufficent. Any dun mix frogfish with lionfish. I heard of frogfish eating up the lionfish. In the end, both went up lorry.
  9. I have kept many frogfish before. Personally I do not like feeding freshwater fishes due to the parasites etc in them, although its the most affordable feeding method. I know this may sound bad, but i actually feed damsels and chromis to my frogfish. Frogfish is a interesting species, and they are very beautiful imo. If you have a refugim, you can even keep it there. Just make sure the pumps are hidden nicely to prevent the frogfish from being suck in. Alternatively, get a nano tank or just a simple set up. Anyway if your tank too big, the frogfish might have problem catching e fishes.
  10. I suggest u set up a nano tank for the frogfish. They only got very basic requirements. U can keep multiples of them, but they must be VERY SIMILAR SIZE. If not tradegy will happen.
  11. confirm plus chop the frogfish will eat the shrimps.
  12. We went through exactly the same thing. My fishes had white spots too and died slowly. Managed to dig out most of the dead fishes except one 3 inch tang. Another reefer suggested adding in cleaning crew like boxer shrimp or reefsafe crabs to eat up the dead fishes behind the rocks if there's any. Continue to monitor the situation as the water condition will deterioriate further. However, one good thing is that your corals wun be affected.
  13. Hi reaper, i feel your loss. I am not sure how big ur fishes are and whether u took them out from the tank once u spotted them dead. My recommendation is do at least 30% water change. I lost many fishes all at once as well, and water change is needed to maintain the tank perimeters as contamination is a definate.
  14. I think e corals are impressive. Simple and elegant.
  15. Nice u.s zoos apotted at iwarna, got radioactive, eagle eye etc. Many frogspawn and elegance as well. Got blue tangs and other fishes.
  16. usually see rose anemone at pacific reef. recent shipment got one, but i bought it. maybe wait a couple more weeks.
  17. hmmm? many skimmers are using aquabee pumps. . You can get the spareparts from the respective agent if the pump ever fails you. There's no way aquabee will cease production in the market.
  18. Any more users of this product care to share ur experience?
  19. Hey mate, how's the AT doing? any updates? cheers!
  20. Thanks bro. Honestly I can't scape with odd shape rocks. Therefore all my rocks are purchased from either coral farm or Seletar farmway. Very good quality rocks. Big types and porous with many holes. Ideal for scaping. Anyway my tank only 2 feet width, limit the rock-scape area. Will be better if its 3 feet instead!
  21. My camera skills are quite bad. I am using an Olympus SP-590UZ semi-pro cam and I still can't get a clear shot. You come help me la. Anyway the EE zoas same-same as yours. very bright under the actinic effect. I am going to build a mountain of EE zoas as soon as u-noe-when. . . .
  22. my cleaning crew & newly acquired RBTA.
