  1. Haiz....what to do :( Even wife also surprised that her parents ask so much. But then again hor...even more also will try to give because IMHO, no regret marrying my wife as she is still the best. :D

Can try to marry girls from China or from Vietnam....but expect to come out more down the road when the in-laws will ask for this and that.....

That's a good man down here...10 years and still appreciates and loves wife and finds her endearing... :yeah::)

  2. For those who does not know this, Weileong and his ccd-taking skills were featured in Sky & Telescope (the definitive magazine for amateur astronomy worldwide) a couple of years back. So he is actually quite a pioneer in the Singapore astronomy scene.

Looks like he is trying to do the same with reef-keeping too.

Yup. He quite renowned and old-bird in his 'astronomical' circle. :P;)

The cross before us, the world behind us...

no turning back... no turning back...

Thanks bro... my obsession with marine fishes has made me lose quality time with God and family... It is not the money but rather time. I really appreciate you bros for trying to dissuade me from giving up this hobby but seriously, my wife and I have gone through some thinking and we know what we are doing...

Rather than "giving up", I rather say I have been released from this overly obsession with fishes. If it is gonna rob me of my time with God and all, then I rather remove it than have it... even though it is rather pitiful with all that investment.

Hey, when Peter, James and John dropped off their nets (living hood) to follow Jesus, they did it wholeheartedly without calculating their initial investment losses in boats and fishing gears, rite? I have caught the same vision and going for something better too... ;):D:lol:

Seriously, my wife and I are convicted into the "people" ministry and to serve the Lord in that manner. Helping others in their lives requires time and both of us are glad that we are called to do so...

I don't want to cheat myself telling myself that if I managed my time well, I can cope and stuff.... honestly, MARINE FISH KEEPING requires a lot of time, energy and money.... I think this is something most of the lao chiaos have been advocating for a long time... Nope, I have not regretted picking the hobby up in the first place, honestly, this three years of reefing has been a wonderful experience to me. I have learnt so much about marine life and if you ask me, I take my money investment as tuition fee for the knowledge gained....:D

I will still come in once in a while to "ka chao ka chao" though and yeah, maybe in the future, once things are more settled down or if I shift to a new house (again), I may just go for a 2' cube FOWLR marine tank.. hehehe... ;)

    :)

Take care and may blessings be upon you and wifey. The storm chasers.:)

And remember the croc enclosure at the bottom of the stairs as well as the piranha tank at the top stairway landing?

BTW, heard you were a teacher before and married to someone in the RSAF? Hmmm...suppose you're in Texas now? Used to be in the Air Force and am teaching in AMKPS now. :D

Wah!!! where did you hear all this? :o I'm not in Texas though. Sigh...I missed the Texas Chainsaw Massacre part. :P

AMKPS? One of my favourite schools. The good saint of a p still there?

Was contemplating to get a transfer there under PCCG-teacher counsellor status. :P

  6. Had always loved the sea and marine life since I was young. Was always elated going to the Van-Cleef Aquarium back then. Then got caught up in sport, bikes, cars and thrill seeking. Finally toned down. :P

    Do I know you? :P

Used to be my favorite haunt every other day as I stayed near there. Cumming Street?

I went till the 'Encik Singh' just waved his hand to let me in whenever he saw me... :P:paiseh:

Yup...have always been mesmerized by things abt the ocean. :)

  7. I thought the link spelt out the delivery charge?

Anyway, it will be sent to my sister's address or mine in USA. Then I will bring them to S'pore when I am due back.

    Well...Good on...Conrad.

Keep the passion strong but remember to grab some 'carrots' long due...Harry needs a playmate and more noise in the house... :P:lol:

  9. Ask some of those whom are housing your corals now to pick them up @ Aquarama then.

Anyway, you should be back for States soon right?

Aiyoh...I already 'owe' them so much for doing me such favours. :paiseh:

How could I still 'burden' them more? :P

Anyway, corals will still come by lah. US is changing their fancy for other corals that I may not have so much interest in so I should be safe... :P

    Have fun, though... :peace:

Yup...time flies and when you hear me in farms, you will realise I am back liao...:lol:
