Using a phosban reactor for Biopellets. Is pellets movement sufficient? If not, will a higher flow pump do or would I be better with a specialized reactor for biopellets?

Hi, Got a goniopora coral last Friday and place it at the corner of my tank. All is well for the past few days. Today, the coral suddenly "puffed up" to 130% of its normal size and seems to have moved 10cm to 20cm by itself. Part of it is now pressing against the glass. What is wrong with it? Can I move it back to its original location. Its seems very "bloated" and I am afraid of bursting it or something if I touches it.

I have this bottle of Grotech calcium supplement that just says "1 ml of the liquid components contains 270 mg Calcium". I have a tank approx 500 litres and need to raise calcium by approx 100 ppm. So how much of the supplement should I dose and is there a max per day?

I will be using solely for top up only. Too lazy to mix salt any water change would be using NSW or pre-mixed salt water from LFS. I have very limited space at home any have no space for those large distilled water. Think more of those 1.5 litres bottles like Natural Life (approx $1 for 3 litres when on offer). So will running a 3 stage DI be more economical in the long run? It is definitely more convenient compared to hauling a caton of water from supermarket back home.

Would having air-conditioning on for 24 hours really consume less electricity?

I am using the old model controllable Tunze stream but light sensing probe of the multicontroller seems to be spoilt and it does not reduce power after lights off. Will it be bad to the fishes or corals if I maintain circulation solely from the return pump at night?

Topic. Should I leave the wave-makers on 24/7 or can I off them at night? My main lights are on from around 4:00pm to 12:00am, followed by night lights from 12am to 7am and all lights off thereafter. If I can off the wave-makers at night, when should I do it? 12am to 7am or 7 am to 4pm?

Does anyone knows how to operate a tempreature controller similiar to the one pictured? I want to change the kick-in and off tempreature range but dunno how to do it.

Moving home soon so giving away my 4ft X 2ft tank with external overflow and sump. 12mm glass. Taker must arrange for own movers and someone to dismantle the pipings, etc. Collection in February after I decom the tank. Saturdays only. I am setting up a new tank at my new home so will be keeping all equipment (except maybe the lights - considering changing to LED). One of the hood's door is spoilt. Cannot close. There is one scratch line visible under certain angle. May be able to buff off. Sump included but I am keeping the top-up reservoir tank. Please PM if interested.

Starting a tank (about 4" X 2" X 2") at my new home at end of this year. I already have a 1HP Starmex (4 yrs old) with Titanium drop in coil. For aesthetics reasons, the Starmex will have to be placed in a distant cabinet (with louvers to exhaust hot air) with pipe running for 50ft or more if I move it to my new home. Would I be better-off getting a normal 0.5hp chiller (no $$ so probably a Resun or Hailea if I go this route) and place it in a cabinet beside my tank instead? Thank you !!

Not clear in picuture but there is a also grill at the side, used for chiller exhause Sump with many compartments. Notice many doors installed for easy access. Main doors with louvers for excellent ventillation. Please note all door hinges are rusty and have to be replaced. OK. Thats all. Selling a RM FR (old model) for $50 and replica Korallin 1501 CR for $100. CR is half filled with Aquapharm calcium media. Also including about 1/3 bag of this calcium media with the CR. Though it is functioning, the shaft of the Ehiem 1048 pump on the CR may have to be changed.
