since we are on zoos. I would like to ask what are the reasons that zoos suddenly stop opening when initially they open everytime the lights are switched on. And I mean my zoos has been opening without fail for weeks until this 2 weeks it stop opening. At most only a few buds open. Please advice.

I am having the same problem now. I presume my water parameters are all in almost top condition cos every other LS and corals in the tanks are thriving. Until this afternoon when i came home i notice one of it's arms was rotting but still attached to it's main body. Also there are white intestine-like stuffs sticking out from the rotting arm. Also i notice my orange star fish is always in a curled backwards position (i.e exposing his mouth). Even after many attempts to correct his position by flipping it over. Could it be the slightly strong water flow? This star fish has been in my tank for 4 days as of me writing this post.

Hi, I would like to DIY a tank hood for my 2ft tank made entirely out of acrylic. May I know where can I get acrylic sheets and if possible the shop can help me cut the acrylic cheets to my desired dimensions and help me glue the pieces together. As for the rest of the cutting (holes for fans etc) i can DIY. Someone here mentioned Dana Enterprises where i can get acrylic. May I know the exact address of this shop? Regards

Hi all, Of cos i don't only deliver/transport tanks. I also transport/deliver anything to anywhere as long the cargo can fit into my van. Be it your shopping from IKEA, new tanks/cabinets/stands from LFS, food/mahjong table/hi-fi/bed to chalets, even your big dogs which no taxi drivers want to take. I will take as long as i am available to your preferred timing. I charge cheaper than most people who provide the same service is because I only provide myself and the van and no extra man power. HI all, I am driving a van (Toyota Hiace) and also a keen reefer. Since many of us in this forum like to trade/buy/sell their tanks and other equipments and many of us either drive normal saloon car or don't drive at all. I hereby would like to provide my serivce to help in the transportation of any equipment especially tanks/stands/cabinets etc. As I'm only providing a mean of transportation which dosen't include man power to move the tanks/stands/cabinets, Therefore I only charge S$25 per trip (from place of collection to place of delivery anywhere in Singapore). As for man power I believe many of you are able to get your friends to help which is of course either FOC or just the price of a meal. So far I have only transported tanks and stands of up to 4 ft in one trip. Any size bigger would need to make 2 trips. My van cargo space is roughly about 7ft x 3.5ft x 5ft. Just to give you a rough idea. For 2 trips i charge only S$45. As I'm doing this part-time, I'm mostly available on weekends/public holidays and weekday nights (after 8pm). hello people.... i got many many of these tiny white powder-like dots in my tank (the overflow filter where my pump is) which crawls around on the glass and the rubber tube. at 1st i thot they are sand particles until i took a closer look. are they some sort of parasites or just harmless living things. pls advice on the action to carry out if they are harmful. so far none is in my main tank.

So u all are saying that a handphone charger or any adaptor that is running on AC can run the DC 12V cpu fans i have? SO in a way the charger/adaptor are something like a transformer lor? Just confiming. When come to electricity i also wrong current lah. For me evapouration is not a main issure comparing to the electricity cost of running a chiller. what more my is only a 2 feet by 1 feet tank. so i think running a chiller is overkill. thanks for all the help and pointers.

Hi, Has anyone tried rigging up their own cooling fans using normal computer CPU fans? I thought of doing it rather than spending $30 - $40++ buying those clipped on fans from aquarium shops. My plan is to mount 2 fans blowing inwards on top my hood and 1 fan blowing outwards mounted on the side of my hood creating a air circulation. But now i need to get a transformer cos the pc fans i have is running on DC 12V. It will be good if anyone here can provide me with the plan and also can tell me where to get the parts i need.
