  1. for its size, i think one for the best. For hang on, i think deltec mce600 is the best....lol

Not bias or what, hang on doesnt really that effective be it prizm or deltec. A friend of mine changed from weipro to prizm and to deltec but on at the end still make sump and use a in-sump skimmer(reef octopus). And he is happy until now.

  2. Harlow...what tank size u running on? I think of getting a tunze 9010, I seen the specs on the web...seems quite compact and efficent....

If you have a sump, you choice is so much wider. I am thinking of throwing my old reef octopus and go for skimz 180. For your tank size maybe you can consider get the smallest version. From some of the reviews, the result are better than the german one and seem more and more Deltec owner changing to skimz. The price looks reasonable, worth the try I think. Maybe we can go AM together, buy 2 see got better price or not. :eyebrow:

  3. Just got a set from Aquamarine on Sat nite. Agree it's workmanship is good. Still considering what flowrate pump to use

Do share the experience of your fr150, thinking to change a bigger fr. I like the new design compare to my old skimz.Presently using rowa, no complaint about it but will give sorb4 a try since it comes with the fr.

  4. Here is a pic of the Boyu skimmer that I am now using, it fits very well. Please let me know if the skimming level is correct. Since it is a new aquarium, not much skimmate yet.

However, I find it produces many small bubbles into the tank, not sure how to remove it.

micro bubble is it? try adjusting the height.I seen a similar skimmer at lfs, was skimming well not didnt remember seeing any micro bubble.

  5. I don't think this is advisable, from what I know :

when you dissolve Ferrous Sulphate in the water, iron and sulphate will be serperated. in this case you are just adding iron into the water. overdosing will cause nuisance aglae bloom. SCARY!! better reconsider

rowa might be expensive but 100% no harm.

Geo Aquatic may be slow in srevice but you will not regreat having your tank build by this joker, from the heart.Ask yourself Geo Aquatic Customer at this point of time , those happy customer should give him your support.

The only 2 place to go if you want to have your tank set up, Aquamarine n Geo Aquatic.

Human being made mistakes that's why pencil always comes with an eraser.

About case of Geo Aquatic, why don't everyone just take a step back and think how many good tank he has done and not sentence him to death just for the few new issue here? By the way, correct me if I am wrong isnt Geo assocated with a LFS? He was seen setting up tank and at their stand in last year at singapore aquarama. I was always thinking they were together until I saw LFS supportor are also making bad remarks on geo and start puzzelling

At the same time, I don't think promoting your favourate store over their competitor sworrow is a good act over here. You maybe creating unnecessary discord between them, right?

However, if I were to change my exisitng ugly tank (done by reputated LFS tho! FROM THE FARM :pirate: ), will definately go for someone with shop. (they cant run even after years unless they . . . <_< )

    Just my 2 cents. :eyeblur:
