    Since u say till like that, how to sell my old skimmer huh :cry2: The previous skimmer was a good and reputable skimmer as well(not china made hor), just that the monster is more power lor.... :eyebrow:

    B4 i install artica chiller-$200++. After artica chiller-$400+++. 6fts tank with only 4 ati lights.

    Suspect the bulk of bills are from the chiller. Kick in often. Could be bcos of full height cabinet ###### partition tank-heat trap inside cabinet.

    install air con compressor for ur tank and see ur bills drop

    Same case here. sometime wanted to hear pain pain spend $1800 change to air compressor and get the money back in 9 months time but reducing electrical bill. But the piping work may drive my wife crazy . Alternative, Am suggested me to install external tempreture controller which is about few hundred. This might be a good option but now I got to spend on the skimmer first.

    How many T5 tube is advisable for a sps tank? The height of the tank is 30"

    I am using the famous ATI tube, does ballast also play a part? Must I change to a german ballast to bring out the total effectiveness of the good tube?

    I am changing skimmer soon, backside very itchy into SPS. :idea:

    Anybody tried Reefmax? Just curious.

    I used coralife...does not really dissolved easily, so i have to put a pump and run the water for 1-2days before using, but still see some remaining salt at the bottom.

    Think i will switch to tropic marin next month since the feedback is good. ME salt cannot find...AM got sell, but have to travel to Tg Katong.

    i also thinking of changing but worried on resale value in future, german brands still faster to offload at a better price vs local brand

    but i cant decide between a kone or the sm250. mine is a 1000l tank, of course if base on paper specs its to go with the sm250, but i am more a believer of my own eyes rather then paper specs. so still waiting more reviews.

    The resale value for german brand also not that great tho. Seen a few deltec in pasar malem, lelong lelong also nobody wants. I feel its the correct timing.I just sold my Reef octopus for $80.. after using for so long still can get back 35% not bad la.! :pinch: Local brand got local support, anything wrong they are here no need to send to the other part of the world. Furthermore with installation and onsite service if anything wrong..(am, don't flame me ur guy no. 7 told me one :bow: ) that why I decided to go ahead with skimz but now don't know which model :cry:

    sm250 is using 2 X 5000 while kone sk2 using 1 X 5000 so obviously sm250 will double the performance, right? I was thinking kone is like a fashion but it really can work. Bro dachie, did you see it running at am's show tank?I also heard no need run in period. Bro spinx, please confirm this.
